I'm sure Ned got gifted the cushy AFL role as the fall-guy for those awful contracts that some prominent Collingwood board members ratified without footy department approval

Bruhn done for pick 18. Feels slightly overs, but Geelong have an annoying habit of getting the best out of nearly everyone.

He likes being tucked into his single racing car bed and getting read a story each night before bed too much
That’s pretty good tho, I get my wife to do the same. Nice hot cup of Milo first tho 😇

A bit different from mummy Ass doing it for you as an adult mate.

If Collingwood wanted a pick between 20-25 they would need to come from either West Coast, Brisbane, Essendon, Adelaide or Hawthorn.

If we had given them 33, 43 and 53 straight up it would leave Collingwood with 16, 33, 41, 43, 50, 51, 53

Surely you can do some creative pick swapping with that lot to get yourselves into that range.
tell em they're dreamin...

I think next years Freo pick could easily be a top 10 pick. Its not a terrible deal. I hope we dont trade that away for some magic beans.
I think we are due two top ten picks.
A top 5 pick this draft, and Freo's 1st 2023 pick.

I would have thought Jackson would have been more suited to playing for West Coast. Only because he would become the Number 1 Ruck fairly quickly
Jacko would look interesting in Blue and White stripes. No Purple in Blue, or in White.

I would be pushing for Freos 2 first rounders & Norths 2nd rounder with some change back the other way

3 picks inside 20 is still a decent return
2023 draft is said to be a bumper draft. Some future picks would be handy

Going to guess Geelong is getting all these sweet deals giving these players the undevelopable land that matt Guy rezoned as planning minister just before the libs got booted from office. ****ing suckers.

Still pisses me off that we took a huge hit in the 2019 draft so GC could get concessions for being shit

Only for Freo, Geelong and now Brisbane (via Geelong lop sided pick swap), some of our closest competitors to get a leg up through lop-sided trades with GC.

Basically us taking a hit so these other clubs could get charity trades

What I find truly bizarre is that they aren't as pissed at the Cats for low-balling Ollie Henry.
incorrect - we're definitely more pissed at the Catters. Ollie is at the opposite end of career to Grundy and 38 won't cut it (it's gone anyway)

Pies can't be unhappy with 27 for Grundy. they wanted 20-25, we probably wanted to just give them 33. looks like we met in the middle and actually got closer to their wants than ours, so that looks like a fair enough deal imo.
personally I'd be ok with 27 as long as Melb paid more of Grundy's salary. Which is the primary reason he's on the market
If our liability is down to $150k I reckon 27 is a fair deal
