Reckon our best chance is batting first and putting a decent score on the board...has to be over 300

I reckon if we chase we will F8*k up against India's spinners..

Hope to be proved wrong though

Feels like the Green/Stoinis position is the weakest link with their current form atm.

On Redmi Note 8 Pro using BigFooty.com mobile app
stoinis with an injury and Greenie just made a 50 in the warm up game...which was good to see Green Dog needed some time in the middle

The biggest issue atm for me is the form of Carey batting in the top six really really needs a score early on in the tournament. If we go and lose a couple of early games and he struggles again...time to bring in Inglis...if not already for me

So if this ground only holds 38k, shouldn’t they have played at a larger venue?

It should have been played at the much bigger Ahmedabad stadium with the England v NZ game played at this stadium.

It would have made a lot more sense but I suspect politics and other factors play a part in the decisions of which stadiums get which games.

Marcus Stoinis
Yeh lets pick this has been.

Marcus Stoinis: Since 2019 ODI World Cup:
Matches: 23
Runs: 350
Highest score :49
Average: 17.50
Wickets: 10
Best bowling: 2-20

In last WC he scored 87 @14.5 and took 7 @34.8.

Out of all Australia's white ball all rounders his post WC ODI record is worst by far.

Adam Zampa
Josh Hazlewood

Marcus Stoinis

Looks good - bad first and aim for 325 minimum

I really don't see the need for 4 specialist bowlers, when you also have Maxwell, Marsh and Green in the side.

You could easily drop one for a dedicated batsman, 3 specialist bowlers and get another 20 overs from those three.

Heck you could drop 2 specialist bowlers, and bring in a specialist batsman and Stoinis, who can also bowl.
