Beating NZ is a big if.

be tough game but at least its before england game, if we lose to kiwis we will have fair idea of what we need by time we face england, england will also have played india by that point so even if we lose to nz if england have also lost to india by then then any win over england would be enough you would think and even tight loss to england might be good enough depending on rr for two in other matches.

All great points and ones I’m sure Afghanistan will take under advisement
Noor Ahmad comes in and takes 3/49 with the 3 wickets being Pakistan's 3 best bats but imagine what Fazalhaq Farooqi with his 132kmh bouncers coming from a height of 5'9" would have done on this used pitch!

if we beat 3 minnows comfortably and beat nz its possible england could win all 5 from here and still miss out to us on rr.
England will be massive outsiders to beat India, won't be confident against us and on current form could easily drop another game somewhere.

Mind you, we're no better than 50/50 against NZ (probably 45/55 tbh) and after what's happened to England, Pakistan and South Africa you'd not feel confident stating we won't slip on a banana peel ourselves

rofl didnt this play out in 2019 too? Afghanistan played too conservatively despite being on top and ended up losing?
I reckon Afghanistan had them on the ropes defending a small total but an 8th or 9th wicket partnership got Pakistan over the line in the last over.

they've got a few injuries which will make it alot easier. Not sure where we are playing them but a high scoring pitch would suit us.

If we can bat that is. Head back in helps and no Lab please

hard to decide who is in worse form, Labs or Smith. Labs has got more runs but he has been unable to play any shots. Smith is just getting out.

Least Smith might not burn a review
