Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Still don't think he's best 22 but would be very handy depth, so yes.

Has improved significantly as he went from 7 games to 14 games.

He’s a bit loose on his goal kicking still but not alone there.
By the time he gets to 25 games he’ll be a solid role player at this level at worst

By the time he gets to 25 games the picture on him will be much clearer for sure. Hopefully he plays his 25th game with us, and before he turns 24yo.

I reckon goal kicking is one of his strengths actually.

He’s been very handy, but I don’t think we can afford to keep him due to list spots. We’ll need one of the young guys to step up, or Hughes to play up - and it’s only really an issue if both Cox and Chappy are missing.

Could take Reidys spot on the rookie list if the club is comfortable in Jackson/Treacy combo (when Sean is injured)

Nah I think we need him, especially if they want to move Chappy up the ground more. No one else to replace Cox or Pearce if they go down. Davies and Draper need a lot more time.

Give Hamling a rookie spot, Treacy and Banfield need to be elevated and Kuek will be placed on the inactive list, so we have 3 rookie spots available. He’s already a free agent for life, not that i think anyone would come for him anyway.

While I'm on it, re Corbett, I'm wondering how good Peel is as a developing ground. How does a guy struggle to show up in the WAFL and then kick a couple and miss a soda on AFL defenders? (Only semi-rhetorical question)

Sturt deserves a 2 year deal. If players like Banfield and Hughes and Brodie were all given 2-3 years then Sam deserves a 2 year deal as minimum. If we don’t give him one I can guarantee several clubs in the east will offer him 2 plus years now.

Sturt deserves a 2 year deal. If players like Banfield and Hughes and Brodie were all given 2-3 years then Sam deserves a 2 year deal as minimum. If we don’t give him one I can guarantee several clubs in the east will offer him 2 plus years now.

I would be happy with him getting 2-3 years. See him start the year in the team and see what happens with continuity.
