He should be available around the early 40s.

Going in his favour is
1) he is a North Adelaide underage player
2) he is a Port supporter
3) he moulds his game on the likes of Zak Butters & Nick Daicos

Oudshoorn-Bennier is not just quick in a straight line but also possesses a sharp side-step and great vision to find space before taking off. He also has a penetrative kicking style

Riley Onley - height: 195cm - Midfielder - draft range 30 - 45
SNAPSHOT: A powerful tall midfielder with speed and clean hands to take the ball from inside to out.” – Michael Alvaro
has long looked up to the likes of Patrick Cripps and Marcus Bontempelli as fellow tall midfielders, along with Jason Horne-Francis for his shared power and explosiveness.

Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier height: 181cm - draft range 40 - 60
SNAPSHOT: “A classy midfielder who darts out of traffic & carves up opposition defences with his foot skills.” – Michael Alvaro
The Port Adelaide supporter, who moulds his game on the likes of Zak Butters and Nick Daicos he has quick in a straight line but also possesses a sharp side-step. His darting work in-to-out and penetrative kicking make him a threat on the attack, and one who could do damage at any level of football.


Noah Roberts-Thomson - height: 181cm Midfielder-Forward - draft range 40 - 60
SNAPSHOT: “A workhorse midfielder-forward with sharp acceleration and the ability to kick important goals.” – James Bell
he has versatility. He is a sturdy ball-winning midfielder with clean hands who generally makes the right decision. As a forward, he has the ability to seize upon slight opportunities & hurt opposition sides with score involvements.
He has had stints across half-back during his junior career, where he utilized his penetrating left boot and aggressive ball use to affect forward forays.

Fred Rodriguez height: 184cm - Midfielder draft range 30 - 45
SNAPSHOT: “A dual-footed midfielder who runs hard both ways and is a dependable leader.” – Michael Alvaro
A reliable midfielder for the long-term. A hard worker going both ways, the South Fremantle prospect can get it done defensively and accumulates on the spread. He averaged 5.5 tackles per game at Colts level, and 4.5 in the National Championships. He prides himself on his contested ball winning ability, able to use his size and clean hands to extract and distribute. An area which will inadvertently help Rodriguez to maximize his kicking efficiency is by enhancing his speed and power.


Jett Dahlitz (from Sturt) - height 188cm Defender - draft range - late
was one of the architects of Sturt's premiership success his ball use out of the defensive half was exceptionally reliable. his right foot is his major asset. Enhancing his one-on-one lockdown craft will help round out his profile.
was trusted with kick in duties ... also during the grand final he had 37 disposals with 33 being kicks.

(could he be another Bergman type player for us or be developed into a lockdown defender)


Balyn O'Brien (from Norwood) 187cm Defender - draft range rookie
A desperate, dogged defender with his relentless desire to compete & has trademark toughness. has played 6 SANFL games including 3 finals. He reads the play and knows when to peel off for intercepts and is finding greater balance between killing the play or going for the mark. he plays taller than 187cm and is adapt at locking down smalls with determined follow up & pressure

(we haven't had a lockdown small defender for years and we always have problems with other team's small forwards)

Marcus Krasnadamskis - height 201cm ruck - draft range late / rookie
a diamond in the rough - ex basketballer who should develop rapidly he had several top 10 finishes in the draft combine including a 2.887second 20m sprint. he is quite comfortable and skillful with ball in hand.

(a replacement for Soldo at the end of next year)

A mid of that size sounds exciting. Speed and power as well. Question mark is his competitiveness though. Having said that, didn't expect someone of that size to be available around our pick.

Yep, that's exactly the reason for me too. Both goal kicking and field kicking actions are very poor.

As soon as I see an average kicking action I'm against that draftee.

I have no issue with us skipping this draft entirely but if we do take a player the main consideration has to be ceiling. Odds of whoever we take being gone in two years is high.

Assuming we have pick 7 and that Duursma, CDT, the academy and FS kids - are off the table.

Cumming and Philipou would fit our needs but it’s a reach at 7. Same with Dovaston and Sumner-Pickett.

Robey I’m not sold on.

Sharp is the bankable product - that’s probably who I would take.

The other is Farrow.

Probably, but clubs seem to love defenders who have midfield capacity even if it never happens. Im talking just a small lockdown defender who can do repeat sprints.

Seems like he would be a good pickup if he slid to us. His RMC profile makes it seem like he might not be too attached to Tassie, so I don't think there would be much go-home factor.

If we had pick 7 I'd say its between Sharp and Cumming. But tbh I'd rather split the pick for an early teens and a late teens pick and try pick up LSP or Dovaston + Xavier Taylor

Lindsay for me is a solid player but I feel like there are so many of his types going around at AFL atm. I don't see any elite attributes in his game but a does a few things at a good standard. So not a first rounder for me.

Fox Footy had a go with a player who I guess they figure could be around at 49 or a much come-in-from-the-cold 85. Seem to have totally locked in on tall key defenders.

Elliot Duffield KPD from South Adelaide their first choice.

One name that could come into the mix is local boy Elliott Duffield. Duffield is a promising tall defender who continues to improve with each and every game he plays. He’s a good decision-maker and ball user and stood tall for South Australia in some important moments during their National Championships campaign. Another defensive option could be Western Jets product Jacob Marron, while All-Australian ruck Sam Ainsworth is another local product who they could consider if he’s still on the board.

Would trade it into 2026 as that draft looks 10x better in terms of high end talent.

If we did trade it into 2026 we have the flexibility of again trading it into 2027 so gives us that option for F/S's and NGAs.
