Can't believe it's even being discussed
Probably because he still does two things elite that we are historically very poor at, contested ball and clearances. And it always rears it head at the absolute worst moment.

Jack Steele looked borderline finished at the end of last year as well. So did Clayton Oliver.

That said, I am not sure how a deal could happen that would make sense for us that Carlton would accept.

That's it

Ben King likely to stay at GC, Collingwood moving on

I think he probably will.

At some point, we can’t keep everyone - especially free agents who desperate clubs like the look of.

Mentioned on gettable last week that his management have told clubs essentially not to bother

Basically matter of weeks for his Swans extension now.

Today’s media reports suggest Carlton wants The Party, not the Dossa.

And it seems inevitable that they’ll have more money to fund The Party.

bedford might well be right that he wants to stay. But money talks.

No amount of money talks if you go to Carlton on the eve of sacking another coach and a rebuild.

He only has to look at the rabble they are and what his mates Will and Ollie are going through to realise money isn't everything. If he values premierships over money, he'll stay because he's a hell of a lot better chance at one here than at the blues

For reference.

Only 4 days ago.
Today’s Amarty headline seems wrong. The Cal Source aligned to everything I heard, we upped our offer, he is super keen to stay and that he told his manager not to entertain outside offers.

I think Riley beverage even got that mail.

Less than a week later to say the landing spot is the blues is straight up weird.

A month ago I would have bit down on this. Now it seems strange. If his manager leaked he is only talking to the swans a week ago, why on earth drop the blues.

Maybe this is blues led leak?

It's not about money , they will always offer more than we can

Jon Ralph speculating

He’s turning 27 & probably only has one big contract left.

I maintain my view - money talks. Especially for a player who has probably never been on big $

If the Swans offer enough, we’ll keep him. But what is “enough”? Sounds like it ain’t what we’ve offered to date.

So what you’re saying is that Sydney fans shouldn’t be nervous at all?😋

All the Party has to do is ask Hayward, Florent or Hewett how happy they are.

Sadly my source is no longer a player manager :(

But as far as media goes when it's trade related Cal Twomey is as good as it gets (and far more reliable than Jon Ralph).

bedford also has a very good source and has a history on being right on these things.
