I disagree with the Zurhaar assessment but respect the honesty.

I make shit up all the time about how our players play according to my opinion and hope you campaigners never call me out on it because then I've gotta find receipts to back up my hunches. It's a very scientific method I have.

This whole forum is all just unironically our opinions on shit.
There's something about harping on about this or that, that makes you feel more in control of this six year train wreck, even though that's obviously stupid because none of us have any control whatsoever. Regardless , it's quite a nice comfort

He went from one of my favorite players to not one of my favorite players in half a game when I first saw him live.

Kicked two of his three goals in the fourth quarter tho, when we were 10 goals goals down...

if he chased opposition players with the intensity he showed in 2019 he'd be one of our best players and raved about across the comp.

Just because you and ferball admit doing this doesn't make it right.

Moving on.

Curtis Taylor had the lowest recorded possession per kilometre figure since Champion Data introduced the measure at .03.

It meant he chalked up 3 possessions for every 100km of gameday running accrued.

How dare people exaggerate to make a point!

Wouldn’t that mean he’d have no possessions for most of his games, though? I know he was ineffective. However, I thought he was averaging 6/7 disposals a game at least.

Oooh 🤣

Cam has taken a fair beating since he started , often playing on bigger, stronger opponents.
Id cut him a bit of slack.
We have a fair few forwards and mids who don't chase. A lot to do with why we are in the bad end of the ladder.
It needs to change now. I'm a big fan of cattle prods.

We seem to panic under pressure. This leads to poor disposal. Poor disposal leads to more turnovers, which leads to players needing to run back more than they should, which leads to fatigue, which is not a great look and ultimately leads to supporters questioning effort. Fix the first and things should improve overall. Or, at least help expose our real weaknesses.

Prodding or being prodded? 🤣

For some reason I thought the Match sim was on tomorrow night ffs.
Well, I think you have stumbled onto what could be a fantastic idea! Certainly in the warmer times of preseason - a twilight/evening intra club praccy match! It'd be well attended, imo. Might be a nice little fundraiser thing too if done right. I like it.

I remember a night game against Richmond in 2019. He chased and tackled with such intent. From a defensive perspective, he's a shadow of that player.

Those figures are better than I thought

The second and third quarters though … I enjoy watching them … including listening to Healy paying out on the Blues.
True but then we went into our shells. It should really be an unassailable position, but we relied on a bad bounce to ensure the win. Not good. We should've run over the top of them. I'm glad we did Richmond in that second fixture after they threatened to make it respectable, but Richmond are a tier below Carlton

Pretty much everybody exaggerates to make a point. It's the people who deliberately exaggerate and then write FACT after it whose opinions you have to learn to take with a grain of salt. FACT.
