Bit of a real dumb footballer. Athlete sure - footballer, not really, not yet.
What are complaining about…some rookie mistakes sure but he’s kicked 4.6 last two games.. 10 scoring shots. Very very promising and will get better quickly

Maybe he is a bit dumb in that raw coltish way, I suppose. But I don't think that speaks to a lack of football IQ, just a lack of composure when he gets that rush of blood.

He's clearly shown that he has the weapons to be a high quality tall forward.

It’s the multiple efforts that are most pleasing to me. We’ve had tall forwards for a long time that if they don’t get it the first time are basically useless. Caddy had one moment last night where he flew for the mark, hit the ground and had done a 180 and was running after the crumb seemingly before his defender had even landed. Lot to work with there and pleasingly a real hunger to get better (see him picking Riewoldt’s brain in the rooms earlier this year)

But honestly the four guys at the top are

Caddy
Durham
Caldwell
Roberts

And that backs up my gut feel that those four win contests and at worst draw them.

More like them please.
I've been banging on this for a few years now, draft guys that have a competive streak just like the guys you've named and like the players we had in the late 90's & early 2000's

Also, Caddy's old man was a great player & was one to be feared in his hey days in the old Diamond Valley League, you always wanted to know where he was if the ball was close by.

Not sure I would be saying dumb footballer. He does plenty of smart stuff in open play. Just has a few too many rushes of blood. Not that I mind as exuberance is not a bad thing. He will be fine. Will have the odd rush of blood but that's what you when you get when you play with the effort he does.

And from what I hear if the ball was not close by as well. Not that I a saying anything bad against him. Different times. I was guilty of playing the same way in my day (late 80's early 90's)

Saul’s not a nice bloke off the ground either.
