Yep. He's a useful player with some unique traits but a lot of flaws. I wouldn't think he's in danger of being delisted any time soon, but he needs to keep improving.

Still has time for improvement, although decision making and poise are not necessarily the most coachable traits..

A minor elbow fracture suffered a week before the national draft means Melbourne recruit Harrison Petty will be on a modified training program at his new club until Christmas.

However the Demons, who had no hesitation in using pick 37 to select the rangy South Australian defender, are confident Petty will join full training in the new year.

Melbourne told Fairfax Media the unlucky Petty suffered the injury when he tripped as he jumped a wire fence and landed on his elbow.

Recruiters were all aware of the injury on draft night, viewing it as a minor setback, and Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said Petty would not be hampered.

Got a very good feeling about the crop of players from the last draft. No superstars, but got a good feeling Baker, Spargo, Petty and of course Fritsch will play a lot of senior footy. A mate of mine who goes to every Casey game has told me Petty looks very assured down back. Very rare to look that comfortable as a tall defender in their first year. I think our KPD stocks are looking great all of a sudden considering the young age and quality of OMac, Lever, Frost and Petty.
