Quite rightly. If we get down to 23 fit players on the list can add him then in case somebody is of the opinion he'd be a better tall forward than Luke Dunstan.

The way I look at it, the best we can hope for now is someone who will bring the ball to ground rather than get outmarked, which is why I have our options to ranked this way:

Can they crash a pack?

JVR - yes
Smith - yes, until he gets injured
Grundy - occasionally, but doesn't seem to know how to get separation in the forward line to do it
Brown - no
Tmac - not unless its on his train tracks and nobody touches him
Jefferson - probably not yet
Schache - absolutely not
