Terrible News. Ablett Calf Injury

Terrible news coming out of The Cattery now is that Gary Ablett has Torn or seriously injured a calf muscle and was carried from the ground at Training Today. I pray that this is not true but it has come from a reliable source. Channel Nine News was down there filming the Training session live when it happened. oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Latest News update is that it is only a strain but will be doubtful for this game against the lions.

They did ... and showed a trainer working on his calf.

My goodness if they are pulling a massive stunt that it is actually the cousin just so we watch the sport i won't be happy.

i agree, i saw another thread just before too from dusty who actually said the same thing as me just before 4 o'clock. channel 9 reporters were down there too, apparently he had to be carried off.

If he is given a rest then all the prismall fans might get another chance to see him in action. (seems the logical replacement)

or another move might be to give Varcoe a game up forward and play stokes more in the middle?

Just heard on MMM that he's definitely out.

Trade you your Gary Ablett for our Jono Brown... ;)

this is prismal's chance, he needs to play a decent game given the hype around him, given what selwood has produced he needs to show that he is up to it, might even get a game in a fortnight

Sorry what was that?

I thought I heard a noise from deep, deep below from the most disappointing, underperforming and gutless team in the AFL/VFL.

Thanks for all your club has done for the game. Seriously it's like a drive through for All Australians - spend a couple of years there and then go on to a real club (ie any other club) and show what you can do. You also serve as a home for pensioned off players from other teams - it's nice to know that if you've got no hope of playing at any other club, and no real interest in footy aside from collecting a paycheck, there's still a place for you in the AFL, and that place is Freo.

Hahahaha loved it!!! One would think Fremantle are an Essendon affiliate... thank God we're not!!!

I was at training this morning and he didn't get carried off he walked off halfway though the session, but then Steve Johnson only had goal kicking practice as well so maybe he is out as well.........
