Roast Action to let the club know how p***ed off we are

“Ps can’t believe you drafted Ramsden and Florenca you dumbshit”

Can also go with

"Do you still keep in touch with either Will Collins or Nic Martin? Im just wondering what Will Collins is up too, I know what Nic Martin is up too so you dont need to ask him"

what on earth makes you think this?

he wasnt sacked after a 171 point loss, he seems pretty safe to me
Just what I read into the Chairman's email. You're right that I might be extrapolating based on nothing, but the way he worded the expectation of a better effort this week, made me think there was a threat there.

its staggering how a club can justify sticking with a coach and backroom staff after a 171 point floggin

but saying that, there were no real howls to sack them when we got pumped by Hawks, Blues or Crows

OK - so how do we get through to an inward focussed board and CEO that have a track record of not listening?

My proposal would be that all supporters be encouraged at the 24 minute mark to of each quarter against the Saints, to leave theirs seats and walk to the inner concourse.

The 24 minutes represents the 24 years that King Nessie I has been on the throne and it is time to go. Standing and leaving indicates the need for the Board Chair to act and move Trevor on. He will get his long service leave and 6 months pay. No more than that as it is not a redundancy but a ex gratia payment. The departure is to be immediate with Richard Godfrey (COO) to act as CEO until a replacement is found.

We do not have to pay out King Nessie I's contract as he can be dismissed for poor performance. CEO's who are dismissed on grounds of poor performance do not get redundancies. In a corporate world, would shareholders stand for consecutive million dollar losses? No. Would they be paying out the CEO a redundancy? No. Would they pay out the remainder of the contract? No. To make it happen, I would offer a suitable bucket of goodbye money.

I would then be asking Elizabeth Gains, Rowan Jones and Ben Wyatt to be on the recruitment panel for appointing CEO. And it needs to be made clear that it will be an external candidate. The new CEO will not be on the Board.

We then ask Paul Fitzpatrick to announce as the outgoing Chair two major initiatives (to be completed before he steps away in December 2023): -
1. Paul he will redraft the constitution (hopefully he is more apt in the legal world) whereby members elect half the board and the WAFC elect the other half. As part of the constitution, it should be written that the CEO has a maximum tenure at the club of 15 years. This can all be done by the 30 September 2023.
2. A series of external reviews (and I would ask Jason Dunstall to join the team) review the club's List Management, Football operations, grounds and premises and S&C departments. Findings to be tables before the end of October 2023.

The new chair to be elected once elections have taken place.

I really think dumping a truckload of horse s**t outside Mineral Resources Park would be the ultimate message!
The media would have a field day with it.
And/or just don't attend the match en masse.
So they have the highest losing margin in history one week, next week they have the lowest attendance figures - that'll send a rocket and wake them up - hit the purse strings!
Just feel for the young and new players...
Didn't some Melbourne fans send a horse or pig head to the coach or club or something along those lines? And if anyone is thinking about spitting on our player's like Melbourne or Richmond supporters please dont it's F¥#ked up.

We rejected Nic Martin earlier then the year he was drafted remember... he trained with Will Collins and we chose Will Collins instead of him

You had inside word we were overlooking Culley, remember?

Collins went in the MSD and Martin was pick up as an SSP by Essendon. He trained with us that pre-season as a forward but(unsurprisingly) did a calf injury.

You can't compare the 2.

So urinating in water ballons and throwing them at players is a no go?

Why should King Nessie I be escorted off the premises?

Look at it from a whole of club perspective - the AFL, WAFL and AFLW

There are so many excuses the club has come out with and we now look at his legacy!

And before posters add to excuses -

WAFL - Trev has been so hard to deal with, we cannot get a club who wants to align with us. Trev was warned a stand alone would be embarrassing in the WAFL if we have injuries and Trev refused to back down and demanded us to be able to play finals so the other clubs have made sure we have a weakened team.

AFLW - Trev has been disinterested in the AFLW and his arrogance was again on display is not letting the draftees play finals in 2022. I can still see the tears on Sasha Goranova's face with her missing out on playing due to Trev. He has given them the last resort coach in Prior. We were caught napping in the first 3 seasons playing AFLW. The outlook now looks much better but we have not been competitive.

Pity the Board have brought into his excuses.

angry season 3 GIF

Meanwhile, the protest at West Coast HQ is going ... as expected.

I'm not even mad, I'm not that angry, I'm just disappointed. Some of what's happening is the heirachies (Coach, CEO, Board etc) fault, some of what's happening is bad luck (mainly the impact injuries) and some of what's happening is the players' fault.

I'm pretty sure they're aware this can't continue. If I don't see Hurn, NN, Gaff, Darling, Shuey (or sub one of them for Nisbett) all moved on at season's end then I'll be happy to join some protests. And they need to make some moves in the S&C department.

Let's be real for a quick moment. Half this board was laughing at the prospect of Martin as another vanilla slow mid sized WAFL player, I don't think a single poster batted an eyelid when he was overlooked after training with us so spare me the "haha another classic West Coast recruiting failure!!" crap.

Total boycote

I'm a Vic member and have been for 17 years, not any more after this season. Not interested in spending my leisure time pissed off and frustrated at the ground, i can do that on a golf course and i get to smash a golf ball to release the tension.

FMD, this thread reads like a lynch mob . Does anybody realise that none of what is being said in hate is going to help our club get up off the canvas?
Let's try and keep it positive.

What will help, do you think? Maybe we go down to open training tomorrow and sing the team song?

This is his biggest failure and by all accounts it's his to own.

It's no surprise that we haven't gotten anything out of our lower picked players since the team came into operation.

If it isn't fixed by next season we will ruin so many careers a la Melbourne and all their failed first rounders.
