Does anyone know what is happening with Bode? Is he under contract or at least been offered a new contract for next year?

If we keep him, then it had better be a 1 year performance based contract. It worked well for Welsh.

Last I heard he was out of contract. Decision on whether or not to retain him was going to be dependent upon his fitness test (and presumably the results of trade week - with nothing coming our way to put him out of the picture).

FORWARD Ian Perrie and half-back Jason Torney lead a list of five delistings from Adelaide as trade week comes to a close.
The Crows also let go Matthew Bode, John Hinge and Darren Pfeiffer as well as rookies Andrew McIntyre and James Turner.
Perrie kicked 17 goals in 14 games this season, while Torney played in all of the Crows' 23 matches.
Torney has played 195 senior games, including 77 at the Crows after coming across from Richmond.
Perrie has kicked 129 goals in 116 matches.
The Crows will elevate Greg Gallman from the rookie list and will also put NSW scholarship player Taylor Walker onto the senior list.
Adelaide have made nine changes to their senior, or primary, list - captain Mark Ricciuto has retired, Ben Hudson has joined the Western Bulldogs, John Meesen has gone to Melbourne and Martin Mattner is with Sydney.
The Crows picked up Brad Symes from Port Adelaide and Brad Moran from the Kangaroos in trade week.

judging by a few posts, i see that ian perrie isnt liked that much

in the Carlton board they are talking of poaching Truck Rutten because he's out of contract. does anyone know what's going on with this?

Yeh, it's one of many topics over there, and for obvious reasons. I mean, if there was a player MORE perfect for us than Rutten, I can't think of him.

But I've not heard boo about why or whether Rutten was considering leaving. I'd assume it's just because he's not actually contracted just yet. Anyone got an update on why that is/where it's at?

As far as I know, he'll re-sign and the topic will be dead. But if for any reason he doesn't sign, I'd hope Carlton would do anything to get him.

He is on holidays at the moment that is why there has been no movement on the contract front.

I would suggest that considering his value to the side that his manager would have advised him to wait and see what money is released from our salary cap due to delistings etc so that he can get the best possible deal.

Fair enough. Gun player.

Yes of course he has.

Come on full page article on Tredera not signing in the Mail today and nothing on Rutten. If he hadn't signed they'd be all over this.
We could pick Tredrea in the PSD.

Then we just make him run drinks.

Mentioned on 10 news, that Chris Knights is close to signing on a 2 year deal into 2010, and that he wants to stay at West Lakes long term.

not sure if they mentioned he wants to stay at West Lakes long term, but definitely verbally agreed to a new 2-year deal (till 2010), which is awesome :thumbsu:
