North will have a heck of a lot of new faces, some of which are old faces ie Cunners, then Phillips, Logue, Sheezel, Shiels, Tucker hopefully. Then a couple that only played a single game each in 2022. Comben and Goater.

A new coach and as was evident last week a new system to how we play football. Well ok we now have a system. We definitely look fitter and bigger, not saying we'll win as it is a tad early.

I'm confident and wouldn't be surprised if we salute.

We couldn't have asked for a better first game to kick our season off; playing at home against the other team from last year with just 2 wins, and we have a fairly healthy list with the coach of the century implementing a discernible game plan. Probably our best chance for a win in quite a while, although the Eagles looked to have also improved from last year. Too tough to call at this stage.

Probably about the same perspective from our end too - an away game against a team expected to be around us on the ladder this year too but still expected to be better with an objectively better coach, as we get a whole host of LTI players (Sheed, Yeo, Allen etc) back into the first 22 and trying to implement a new game plan.

I sincerely wish us both the best of luck, and no injuries, for the rest of 2023. And that you guys get spanked in Round 1 (of course).

Whoever loses this will have the blowtorch applied. In a weird way it's probably the most important round 1 game.

Agreed. Last year North just got home against a WAFL team. Not that praccy matches matter that much but both were flogged by two very ordinary teams.

Provided some elderly wce players have laid off the KFC over summer they should romp home.

The AFL will pay close attention to crowd size. Hopefully the North crowd is not outnumbered by Eagles fans.

What did North do to you? You're freaking twisted AF

History suggests West Coast do not stay down for too long so I expect them to climb back up the ladder starting with a big win in this one.
That's correct historically but there are a lot of walking sticks about the place, I think they're bottom 4 again

They'll win a few at home but get reamed on the road

Why will the AFL pay “ close attention to the crowd size”?

You bounce from one North thread to the next spouting your vile views.

Surprised you get away with it. Strange times indeed.
They're just jealous that they had to leave the state but you got to stay
