Mccartin only till 2023? I find that concerning tbh. Bit of Zac Jones about it. Would've thought he would've been tied down long term.

Probably just backing himself for a pay rise when he is a more experienced and thus more valuable defender. I think his next contract would then be a longer one.

So Sheather is now on the senior list? Wow!

Maybe. I am sure I have seen a player get a 2 year contract before with the second being on the senior list.

Alternative could also be a sign we are keen on listing another academy kid in the draft, perhaps the young lad that went to Melbourne with the VFL team.

Anderson?

Anderson?
Yep that’s the one. Laidler said this in the reserves report:

“We were able to get two of our VFL guys with us, and we have a QBE Sydney Swans Academy product.”

Id assume this was Paddy, van Huisstede and Anderson. It may be simply that they are both from Newcastle and were available but good experience for the kid.

Hi Im just wondering if Dylan Stephens has resigned? f=If he was up for trade what do you think would be fair value?

Not yet. Most likely a 3rd round pick. Hasn't shown enough to be worth a whole lot.

Not yet.

Probably a second rounder. But that is only if he wanted out. Hope we retain for a minimum of two year. See lots of upside in him.

He seems to be more a pure outside player, rather than an inside/outside player. Freo desperately need aplayer of his type of them who can run all day. Id trade our second rounder for sure if that was going to get a deal done. The attraction to us for him would be that he would get opportunity in his most suited position plus our home ground would also suit his style of play. WE could be trading Cerra so might have a ton of picks to trade. Darcy Tucker is a player who could be looking for a new home too.

Don't be fooled, he's no outside player, he's preferred position is inside mid. From there he can use his pace to create space and be an outlet, or win the ball and give off a clean disposal or break the line.

We will not be trading him UNLESS he wants out. If you wanted him and he didn't want to go you would have to pay first rounder + more.
