Good team - just a question mark on Laird. He has now missed 4 games.

Why can't we have both?

Surprised Neale isn't getting much a mention.

Harsh Josh J. Kennedy isn't in most sides! Not only has he kicked 37 goals from 10 games he has also averaged 15.7 disposals, 7.6 marks and 9.2 score involvements which are all top notch numbers for a key forward.

He's well in the mix. It's just that he's had a few quiet games and a few huge games, so averages aren't the best guide. I have Waite holding on by a thread this week, JK could well be in there next Monday.

I'll have a go and look back on it later in the season.

FB: Morris - Rance - Rampe
HB: Shaw - Grundy - Docherty

HF: N.Riewoldt - Franklin - Zorko
FF: Betts - Kennedy - Lynch
R: Goldstein - Gibbs - Dangerfield

Viney is out of the team and won't get back in now.

Ziebell is out. Less than 23 disposals and less than a goal a game doesn't scream AA. He is in good form but not as prolific as other mids.

Talia is in if he wasn't before, keeps getting impressive scalps. Very consistent. 1st key back picked. Rance and Frawley close as are a few others.

Some of Parker's teammates have overtaken him or are in the process of doing so.

Docherty is in, so is Gibbs.

Dusty has got to be closing in, has actually been quite consistent which has been lost in his teams earlier form.

I keep changing the ruck on an almost weekly basis. I think Gawn with his inexperience compared to the other 2 is the most likely to drop off. Expect Goldy to get it again at the end of the year.

One of Grundy and Rampe probably deserve a spot, don't know which one or if both should.

That's what I've seen change over the past 2/3 weeks.

I personally think best small defender has been Nick Smith, but its pushing it to put Rampe, Grundy and Smith in the side...
Not really - Smith the last 2 weeks has been amazing. As the best side you should have a decent amount of players.
Simpson was the other small defender that would be a chance - which would give the 11th place blues a third of the back line.

Possibly a little too Adelaide-heavy.

B: MacKenzie (WC), Talia (Adel), Gibson (Haw)
HB: Gibbs, H. Grundy, Shaw
C: Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Zaharakis
HF: N. Riewoldt, Franklin, C. Rioli
F: Lynch(GC), Kennedy (WC), Betts
R: Goldstein, D. Martin, Hannebery
Int: Gawn, Parker, Treloar, Shuey
I wouldn't have MacKenzie, Gibson or Rioli near the AA team yet. Especially MacKenzie, he has struggled this year hasn't he?

Yes Mackenzie is improving slowly but like all players who do a knee and miss 12 months it takes the best part of the season to get back to their best.

Yep. Getting better as he builds up match fitness but nowhere near AA. Substitute him for someone like Morris.
