Good luck to all players and supporters of Heidelberg, North Heidelberg, Banyule, Montmorency, Heidelberg West and Old Eltham.

All three games scheduled within a few hundred meters of each other.

Parking will be awesome. Surly there has to be a better way than that. I already have spoken to a few people from different sides that are not going due to parking Kaos as last time this happened, they could not even get a park at the shopping center.

The league are advertising for a Media Manager, looks like another departure at head office

As long as they stop that ridiculous music when the post highlights on social media. Its so annoying I cannot watch the actual highlights....

Also, whomever cuts it needs to know goals are not the only highlights.....seems 99% of the highlights are goals and some are just set shots....

Downes gone, another bloke who has taken the league backwards.
Only ever concerned about licking Vinnies arse to get his kid drafted.
Introduced some of the most ridiculous new rules in Junior Footy which the league have now ignored.
Any chance they could actually get someone who has real integrity and does good work for the Clubs?

In the last 6 months the following have gone:

Senior operations
Junior operations
Head of umpiring
Media manager
Numerous office staff

I can't imagine this is the uncommon. The league is a stepping stone for other positions in higher level football. For example Sacco and Zitto both excelled their careers by taking better roles.

Who allocates and ticks off the player points? Surely they are next with their lack of proficiency in the role.

Statement for TNFS Followers:
An Update on The Northern Footy Show and the NFNL
To our valued followers and the wider NFNL community,
We wanted to provide an update on our recent efforts to engage with the NFNL Board regarding the ongoing restrictions placed on The Northern Footy Show (TNFS).
As many of you know, TNFS was created out of a passion for local footy – run by volunteers dedicated to supporting and celebrating the clubs, players, and community within the NFNL. We recently wrote to the NFNL Board seeking a review of our situation and hoping to find a collaborative path forward.
We have now received a formal response from the NFNL Board. In their letter, the Board stated that while they understand our intent is to support local football, their primary role is to uphold the NFNL Social Media Policy to protect the interests and reputation of the league, clubs, participants, and volunteers.
The Board determined that TNFS does not meet their definition of a "bona-fide media organisation," citing the lack of formal governance structures, codes of conduct, organisational accountability, and specific insurances they associate with such organisations. Consequently, they view engagement with TNFS by clubs, participants, and volunteers as presenting an "unacceptable risk."
While we respect the Board's responsibility to manage risk and uphold policy, we are naturally disappointed with this outcome. We fundamentally believe that grassroots, volunteer-run initiatives like ours play a vital role in community sport. TNFS operates purely out of passion, is not a business, holds no bank account, and directs all funds raised back into local clubs and initiatives. We have always aimed to operate positively and collaboratively within the league's framework.
What does this mean for TNFS?
Based on the Board's response, it appears the current restrictions preventing us from formally interviewing players and club officials, and limiting club interactions due to potential sanctions. including but not limited to fundraising and appearing free of charge at events like Diamond Creek Junior Football Club Fight MND night, will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
Our Commitment:
Despite this setback, our passion for Northern Football Netball League footy remains undimmed. We started TNFS to give a voice to the local stories, celebrate milestones, promote club events, raise funds and build connections within our community – all as dedicated volunteers.
We will need to consider the Board's position and how TNFS can best continue to operate within these limitations and if it is even achievable in this current format. We will keep you posted after some further discussions with other parties.
We remain committed to supporting local footy in any way we can, celebrating the spirit of the game we all love.
We want to sincerely thank you – our followers, the clubs, players, and community members – who have shown us incredible support. Your engagement, messages, and shared passion are what drive us. We will keep you updated on any further developments.
Warm regards,
The Northern Footy Show Team
