As your captain raises the McLelland Trophy I will be putting on my black suit and making my way to yours to answer the door and make pithy comments to you in my upper class English accent

Do captains actually raise that trophy? Methinks this is loophole to wriggle out of your commitments if the unthinkable should occur.

Here is my result:

Mine was a bit of a surprise. I tried to do it as objectively as possible. I didn't realise I had the Doggies winning so much. I think it's a great ladder and one I would be pleased to see at the end of the year. However, I don't think there's much chance of us making the finals, or the Eagles missing them.
10% difference between 1st & 16th, yet you have a massive difference of 18 between their respective wins.I'm no mathematician, but the chances of this occurring is I would imagine 1 000 000 ++ TO 1.
A quick comparision would to the ladders of 1991 & 2000(the closest to your predition of 19 wins(76) for the Bulldogs)sees the Eagles 19 wins(76) 162.2%,Brisbane 3 wins() 69.5%.
IN 2000 Essendon won 21 of 22(84pts)159.1,whilst StKilda finished bottom with 2.5 wins (10)& 70.5%
Not nit-picking but think this thread is a JOKE

The reason for that is that I didn't pick the margins, only the winners. The site had a default setting of 6 points. Thus the close percentages.

I was surprised with what I cam up with

4. Port Adelaide
5. St.Kilda
6. Geelong

9. Fremantle
10. Western Bulldogs
11. Carlton
12. Collingwood

Team Wins
West Coast 18
Fremantle 18
W Bulldogs 18
Sydney 17
Adelaide 15
St Kilda 13 - Struggles to match it with teams above it
Bris Lions 13 - Benefits from 13 games in Queensland - Brown assumed fit
Geelong 12 - SS games an advantage

Melbourne 12 - Playing Gabba home game costs them finals
Port Adel 9
Hawthorn 8
Collingwood 7 - Outgoings will be too hard to cover for
Richmond 6 - Treading water?
Carlton 5 - More competitive games than last year
Essendon 2
Kangaroos 2 - Common theme amongst everyone else's predictions as well - Laidley gone mid-season?

Interesting note: 4 of the bottom 5 teams are the big four Victorian teams.

3 Fremantle
1 West Coast
8 W Bulldogs
2 Adelaide
4 Sydney
6 St Kilda
10 Geelong

13. Port Adelaide 9-13
14. Carlton 8-14
15. Richmond 8-14
16. Essendon 7-15

Hawks top 4 surprised me. Adelaide and Freo to drop out. Not much between 4th and 14th so a bit hard to tell.

Hmm, I did it round by round on gut instinct.

Bulldogs
West Coast
Adelaide
St Kilda
Port Adel
Fremantle
Sydney
Geelong

Melbourne
Collingwood
Bris Lions
Richmond
Hawthorn
Kangaroos
Essendon
Carlton

That can't be right, Pies should be on top undefeated:( .

14 Kangaroos 22 1 21 0 1918 2482 4 77.2

That's how mine ended up. A few surprises Like Doggies 1st (might be top 4, but I doubt 1st), Adelaide missing out and the lack of wins from Collingwood and Kangaroos (they'll win more than that surely!).
