I think that's a bit rough on Brad Hill. He's definitely one of Freo's best players and would do well in the Jetta type role for us. The only thing that let's him down is he tends to undo a lot of good work with poor goal kicking.

To be fair to Collingwood (and Richmond to an extent, although we had a similar situation to their Ellis loss with Lycett last year) - the issue has come a few years after trading in big names. We are less than a week into having TK on our list. No doubt we 'feel' like our salary cap is under control - but these things are maybe better judged in 3-4 years.

JK, Nic Nat, Hurn and Shuey in a few years wil either not be at the club or will be on less money so that’s freed up cash. Also it has been reported some senior players took a pay cut to help it happen so it looks like we have looked ahead long term also.

It’s even identified as being below average for his position, in a dominant side. It’d get even worse at freo.

Picking fringe players for value trades to fill a need is a very good strategy. Hawks do this very well also

We have jetta , cripps , vardy , yeo , redden all value trades apart from redden and all played in a premiership .

Except when you're paying them the sort of coin Freo are to get then there. Just because you have money to burn doesn't mean you should use it to offer player of Aish's ilk lucrative 3 year deals.

Aish and Menadue aren't that good. Happy for Freo to keep recruiting plodders like them and McCarthy, Conca, Colyer etc because it seems winning trade week is more important than winning flags.

My ex and most of her family live there. It really is an unfair disturbance to both the crows and the power to have to deal with that s**t. No wonder the SANFL isn't competitive with the WAFL OR VFL now as well.

Point has been well made by others, but it's worth repeating: the longer AFL Trade Eon drags on, and the longer essentially irrelevant trades continue to remain unfulfilled.. the better our boys look for getting the Kelly deal done as quickly as they did. Props.

I highly doubt aish would be on big coin at freo . Longmuir would have seen him and thinks he worth a spot on freo's list .

Probably a salary dump from collingwood and he and menedue wouldnt cost much in both salary and picks .

Freo need to get rid of lyons honest contested goers over the next few seasons and get some skills into their side .

Guys like banfield colyer and conca need to go and a guy like blakley need to be moved into the guts where his poor kicking isnt an issue .

Now Darcy tucker if he could clean up his disposal he could turn into a decent player .

I honestly think if they kept hill , have good run with injuries that they will be a hard team to beat at optus . If they can get some easy away games and pinch a few 50/50 away game they could get close to the 8
