I have written an article on the Hawthorn supporter base on my website, http://www.hawthornhawks.com if you'd like to take a read...

It is written about the small majority of supporters who like to write off and disrespect the team once they are perform poorly and how they need to improve their act, or simply not come to the games...

I do agree with ya 100%

How many supporters bought a membership this year? And how many supporters are there who are loyal to the Hawks?

Thanks for the nice comments Suzi...

Membership is standing at between 27-28 thousand I believe and obviously the Hawks will be looking to sign up a few hundred members at the Tassie game.

So things are looking good.

It is great, but we have to ask ourselves are we really passionate about our club?
I think that there are some people out there who are passionate and some who are not passionate about the hawks.

I think they are passionate enough...

Just some of them go over the top on their constructive criticism.

 

[Pessimistic]

The support in the 3rd (and 4th) qtr against melbourne was admirable. I think the crowd was like two extra players at that time.

Perhaps what you are talking about has roots in 1996. I don't know if hawk fans were quite so feral before that. We still don't trust the AFL and wonder how much margin for error we have.
