Again, not what I was talking about but anyway, show me on the panda where Mr McGowan touched you:

You are the one that wants to move the traditional start of the Ashes series not me. I don’t care what WA do it’s their state. CA have been very reasonable. Players were never agreeing to a second quarantine.

I’m happy they have taken the test away it’s the right decision

Won't miss a WA Test. I used to look forward to them when the WACA offered a unique sporty pitch. Even if it was the Windies torturing our blokes it was great to see a pitch offering quality quicks something.

Autobahns have been served up there for years. The ultimate condemnation of WA pitches was Mitch Marsh, statistically the worst number 6 in the History of Test Cricket to have been gifted 30+ matches, scored his maiden ton there.

Of course he got another gift at the G on such a Roady McRoad that even Cook scored a double.

WA folk do not turn up to Tests unless the Poms or SA are playing (big ex pat communities.

Wasn’t the Marsh one in Sydney? Honestly both pitches were bad at the time.

Optus is a good pitch

This is the first Ashes series I can recall where I have not been on the edge of my seat with excitement. Both teams are well matched in terms of their mediocrity and general meh-ness.

I have minus zero time for Warner (known as the Grade Cricket Slogger - GCS on another Forum). Was near useless v BanIndia last summer and expect will fail again. His Test record overseas of course is woeful. He should never have been selected after sandpapergate.

End of the day Henriques chose to play IPL over shield cricket. It’s a bit much sooking now that others have gone passed him
If he can't see that, he's not very smart. He chose to chase some cash in the giggle leagues rather than press his claims for a test spot in the first-class arena.

I am excited more for my trips to Adelaide and Sydney to be fair, the Adelaide Barmies are a great bunch.
Now hopefully 10 days at the MCG too
I spent a couple of hours on the hill with the Barmies in 95 and went to the victory party afterwards, great bunch of blokes.

'Tradition'. Right.

I am super excited, it’s test cricket and we have had barely any in 2 years. I don’t think the two teams are well matched either, despite our many flaws we are much better test team.

The Warner take is just laughably bad, grade cricket slogger?

Averages 48 as a test opener - elite
He has the 2nd highest test score by an Australian
He has 24 test centuries which is the 4th most of all active players

Love him or hate him he is an all time great opening batsman and is a weak up start in this team as he should be

Warner is a home flat track bully. He should never have been granted a passport to play Tests elsewhere.

Outside of a few elite players most modern day batsman are, give the the a rest. He was huge for us winning the World Cup a month ago, had a really solid ODI World Cup after the ban, had an outstanding summer a couple years ago.

Do not give a crap about white ball nonsense.

Okay you do you, he is one of the best all form batsman the game has had and you don't want him picked in to a team with legit 2 good batsmen.

He’s not an all time great. His home record has to be respected and he has played some great innings but he’s Hayden on steroids. I think based on what he did the first time he went to South Africa he could have been an all time great but his travelling record simply isn’t good enough.

Should not have been allowed to play cricket after the SA disgrace.

Mind you the Poms have their own skeletons. I should be surprised Stokes was granted entry to the country after his thuggery.

If CA had put the Perth test first, which it has been twice in the last ten years, then there would have been only one quarantine.

And then we would have had five Ashes tests in the traditional five cities.

If every player who got into an of field altercation was banned there’d be a lot of careers rewritten. Ponting got himself bashed at the Bourbon before he’d really established himself - who knows, if he could actually fight he might have done the same thing Stokes did

I could be misinterpreting your post, but are you suggesting Hayden isn’t an all-time great? His away average is close to on par with both Strauss and Cook - two players I think England fans would consider all-time greats.
Hayden was, and still is, a fair tosser, but he was also a very good Test opener.

Stokes on camera kicking the crap out of people is a bit different to cheeky Ricky copping grief at the B&B

The alternative is Harris enough said..

Or we can keep the schedule as planned and WA can get over it and realise they have done their two weeks. That’s plenty it’s probably more than they need to do.

Not fussed us not playing in Perth.
