Do they have the best midfield on paper?

They have got some good names however I would argue that they have to many same types of players

I've always thought the same but they get it done more often than not. They got belted by the same Geelong midfield destroyed a week either side.

Yes. We need a midfield coach that can get some outside breakaway component to our clearance game. Big deficiency.

No doubt in terms of their blue collar credentials, IMO they need a add bit more class to be right up there

In terms of midfielder outside players, I doubt that they're allowed. We're back to the Neil Craig regime, we're structured to the absolute micro-second. Our big issue is that ahead of the ball we have a bunch of downhill skiiers. Bigger than that is that our coaches fail to understand that you can't select a side based on everything going according to your plan. Sometimes you only break even at the contest. This means that you need cattle ahead of the ball that can break even themselves when this becomes the reality. Our coaching group slap themselves on the back when our forward group make a 7 goal win into a 12 goal win. But our forward group will never turn a 5 goal loss into a 2 goal loss. That 5 goal loss becomes a 10 goal loss. Jenkins and Lynch are 2 of the major down hill skiing culprits and I'm now starting to wonder how Eddie goes when we're up against it in the midfield. Tex, I'm not prepared to consider yet. But, he might be equally as culpable as the others. But selecting Otten is proof that our coaches only consider selections based upon us being dominant in the midfield battle.

That was just an excuse when he wasn't handed the top gig on a platter. Turned around 2 months later and was stated that he is highly geared to senior coaching. I'd hazard a guess that he'd need to be asked though. Great thing for him is that he's got his kids and business to fall back on when no one is actually interested in him.

Nah, not sure who they were. Rucci was there, but it wasn't his mail. One of the other hosts asked if he should divulge his scoop and Rucci and the other bloke said yes. Thommo to Freo was the mail. I'm not sure if I blacked out for a bit because Hodge playing at GC was the important topic immediately after.
