Mike Hussey: "I remember a few years ago when the Heat came from nowhere and won the title". Huss, it was a decade ago mate.

Brad Haddin the other day said something like 'The Heat are renowned for starting slow and causing havoc late in the season'. Yes they won a title 10 years ago and I believe made a prelim in similar circumstances in the covid season but that's hardly being 'renowned' for it.

In 2020-21 the Heat finished 4th and won the 4th vs 5th final but lost to the 3rd placed Thunder in their next final.

I think the Heat made a semi final in the days of the final 4 when Brendan McCullum, sorry Baz, was captain of the Heat.

Outside of that, they've promised plenty but delivered little since pinching a title from 4th in 2013.
