Playing every game this season, Cripps had a slow start to the year before finishing off very strong (after Round 16 he polled in every game bar 1) and as our form small forward and one of our only players who actually wanted to tackle. He loved playing Adelaide this season as his two best performances came in Round 9 v Adelaide (25 disposals, 10 marks and a goal) and Round 18 vs Adelaide (25 disposals, 4 marks, 4 tackles and a career best 5 goals) where he achieved BOG honours and would have been a unanimous BOG had Marlin01 not given Naitanui 5 votes instead.

The speedster had a good season in 2021, despite often struggling with a lingering hamstring issue. Often at the very fringe of the 22, Petruccelle played as the medi-sub on a few occasions but when he played a full game he usually managed double figures of disposals. Highlights to his season include a 20 disposal, 8 mark and 2 goal effort against Adelaide in Round 18 as well as a BOG performance against St Kilda in Round 4 where he kicked 4 goals in the disappointing loss. Our biggest positive mover for the year as in 2020, Petch did not poll a vote and finished 12th in 2021.

The premiership captain misses out on top 10 this season after an injury interrupted campaign but his achievements cannot be understated. The very first 300 gamer of the West Coast Eagles, Hurn reached this milestone in Round 20 vs Collingwood and will go down in history as one of our greatest players. Even at 34, Hurn was still putting up some strong numbers when he managed to get on the park with games such as Round 1 vs Gold Coast (31 disposals and 12 marks), Round 12 vs Carlton (27 disposals and 9 marks) and Round 15 vs the Bulldogs (26 disposals and 8 marks) but soft tissue injuries ultimately ended his year early in Round 21. Uncontracted and it remains to be seen if he plays on in 2022.

Redden was probably our most consistent mid in 2021, playing the first 15 games and only dropping below 20 possessions in Round 16 vs the Swans where he got injured. He returned in Round 20 but missed Round 23 due to illness. Redden put up some very strong numbers in season 2021, including Round 3 vs Port Adelaide (31 disposals and 5 marks), Round 5 vs Collingwood (a career best 37 disposals, 10 marks and 4 tackles), Round 8 vs Hawthorn (31 disposals and 3 marks) and Round 21 vs Melbourne (30 disposals, 8 marks and a goal). The premiership midfielder is out of contract for 2022 but allegedly has a 1 year deal in front of him that hopefully he accepts as we need his grunt around the ball.

Consecutive top 10 seasons for Gaffy as he put in a season that was at times maligned by this board yet still featured some outstanding stats. The wingman received BOG honours in Round 8 vs Hawthorn with 38 disposals and 12 marks in a prolific performance and also had strong games in Round 3 vs Port (36 disposals, 13 marks, 4 tackles), Round 5 vs Collingwood (38 disposals and 10 marks), Round 7 vs Fremantle (35 disposals, 6 marks and a goal) and Round 18 vs Adelaide (34 disposals and 8 marks).

Barrass started the season in absolute ripping form and polled in almost every game that he played and was in fact leading the leaderboard at one point early-mid season. Injury kept him out of the side in Rounds 7-8 and 18-21 and he didn't poll any votes after he returned in Round 22 vs the Dockers but it was certainly an encouraging season from the premiership defender. Statistically his best games came against Gold Coast in Round 1 (22 disposals and 13 marks) and the Bulldogs in Round 15 (22 disposals and 7 marks).

The Bearded God kept on keeping on in season 2021 which saw him finish 17th in the Coleman as a 34 year old. Kennedy missed a few games here and there due to old man injuries but was always impactful when he played as he never had a goalless game in 2021. BOG honours in his unforgettable game against Richmond where he kicked the winner on top of 15 disposals, 7 marks and 3 more majors. Apparently weighing up whether to sign the one year deal in front of him to play on in 2022.

Oscar started the season on fire and one of the hottest young KPF prospects in the AFL with BOG performances in Round 1 vs Gold Coast (13 disposals, 9 marks and 4 goals) and Round 5 vs Collingwood (13 disposals, 6 marks and 5 goals) along with polling votes in 9 out of the first 10 rounds. The second half of the season was a different story and Oscar only polled in 2 more games for the rest of the year where he struggled with form and fitness. Hopefully a good preseason will give an opportunity to continue his early season form next year.

5th place in the JW, and receives the bronze medal in ours. Darling played 22 games in season 2021, polled in 13 of them and ranked as BOG in 2 of them in what was a rollercoaster of a year. BOG in Round 6 vs Geelong (12 disposals, 8 marks and a goal) and Round 9 vs Adelaide (15 disposals, 8 marks and 5 goals in a quarter), the 2019 All Australian rarely looked like tearing a game apart but was still 15th in the Coleman and our leading goalscorer with 42 majors. Like most players on our list Darling looked like he was going to have a nice season in the first half of the year before disappearing completely for the second.

Congratulations on your bronze medal, Jack.

Consecutive top 3 finishes for our Rolls Royce midfielder, TK had another good season in the blue and gold with 7 votes above third place. Playing 19 games, unfortunately injuries came at a bad time for him as he hurt his knee just as he had run into a huge run of form and was in fact leading our count before he went down against Essendon. BOG in Round 7 vs Fremantle (a career best 42 disposals and 9 tackles) and Round 19 vs St Kilda (26 disposals, 9 marks and a goal). Kelly polled in 14 of his 19 games and was one of the few players to not go on holiday in the second half of the year.

Congratulations on your silver medal, Tim.

Gee. Nic absolutely destroyed the field this year and then some and what is crazy is that he wasn't even leading mid way through the season, he just stormed home when all of his mates decided not to rock up anymore. In fact, NN obliterated the rest so much that if you halved his votes he still wins and if you half them again, he still finishes in the top 10. Nic played every game of 2021 and polled in them all bar 1 (Round 5 vs Collingwood) which is our best by a mile.

Nic played every game in 2022 and was BOG in EIGHT of them which were (*takes breath*):
Round 2 vs the Bulldogs (13 disposals, 5 tackles and 40 hitouts)
Round 10 vs GWS (15 disposals, 6 tackles and 34 hitouts)
Round 11 vs Essendon (20 disposals, 6 tackles and 40 hitouts)
Round 15 vs the Bulldogs (20 disposals and 39 hitouts)
Round 17 vs North Melbourne (20 disposals and 37 hitouts)
Round 20 vs Collingwood (17 disposals and 24 hitouts)
Round 22 vs Fremantle (15 disposals and 36 hitouts)
Round 23 vs Brisbane (24 disposals, a career best 11 clearances and a career best 53 hitouts). NN was our only player to receive unanimous BOG this year in this game with a perfect 5.00 score.

A huge year for a huge man and we as West Coast fans are pretty indebted to him. Hopefully he gets his deserved premiership medal before he hangs them up.

    NN already our best player

Congratulations on your gold medal, Nic.
