What's the biggest score turnaround from one week to the next?

Whatever it is, I think the Saints have a chance to set a new record this week. Having belted Essendon last week to clinch 4th they now face a rampant Geelong hell-bent on winning back-to-back flags. I expect the Saints to be a little flat this week knowing they've got the double chance and having done all the hard work last week.

Possible 200 point turnaround... Milne to kick 1.

I think St.Kilda's score turnaround will be about the same as Collingwood's. Fremantle gave them the wake up they needed so they can come and pump the Cows this weekend, although I hope they lose heartbreakingly like the Hawthorn game last year.

Oh did you book your plane tickets Saturday night like a hilarious amount of crows supporters did? There will be quite a few empty flights leaving Adelaide this weekend. HAHAHA

Rounds 14-16, 1989

West Coast d. Sydney by 42 points

Rounds 3-4, 1979

Collingwood d. St Kilda by 178 points

Rounds 12-13, 1919
South Melbourne d St Kilda by 171 points
St Kilda d Essendon by 12 points

etc etc

Ahh the 80s. Fond memories of erratic football during my childhood. Wait, your post is triggering another childhood memory. That bear... So familiar... Always hanging around my primary school... I think he gave me candy...

You seem to be bursting with stats R&B. Where did you get that 1919 one for instance?

Like most I don't expect the Saints to win this week (hope the players don't think like me ) but it is a 2 horse race and we have made top 4 so I am content atm with our improvement, all bonus from here on out.:thumbsu:
We have at least the adv of having a crack at Geelong to ready ourselves for the GF if we make it.
Well done Saints.

Dishonorable mention:

Are we all forgetting about Port last year.

They won the Prelim by 87 points and lost the grand final by 119 - 206 point turnaround.

mate back in 2002 Port were rampant and we were no chance in hell against them when we finished 4th, paid $6 for the win. We got the money, anything can happen if the team plays how it is meant to. I give you a chance even though i would tip Geelong.

So crowfeet you are saying that Geelong will beat the Saints by 92 points?

I'm not expecting it, but it wouldn't surprise me. The Cats are a veritable juggernaught at the mo.

By my calcs, the biggest turnarounds are:

Cheers PFG. I think it'll be hard for the Saints to beat records like those.

That's a good one! One I recall as I went to all 3 matches, although it's probably a bit down the list of biggest turnarounds:

QF-1989: Essendon 24.13.157 d. Geelong 11.15.81
SF-1989: Hawthorn 16.16. 112 d. Essendon 11.10.76
PF: 1989: Geelong 24.20.164 d. Essendon 10.10.70
