Safe to say this game is ****ING AWESOME!

Just had a 3? Hour session with Knighta21, caMoGFC and Igloo. Was incredible fun. We were even enjoying ourselves in the little hub home area where you can buy upgrades, weapons, skins, etc. and get most of your missions.

Definitely up for that again! Just don't get too far ahead of us.

It's literally just more Borderlands with the improvements that were needed for the game. The loot is still incredibly addicting, the gunplay is awesome and the new enemies + tougher and more varied AI is way more fun than the first.

I can't wait to try out my Level 11 Pistol as well that has 100 damage and some decent other stats. Looks like an absolute beast of a weapon.

picked up my preorder from JB at 5, have played a good 3 or 4 hours with mates. Had heaps of fun. Game is amazing.

It is Borderlands 1 but slightly better. WHich means it shits over most shooters.

My only gripe is the decline in beheadings/dismemberments.

It's alright but don't think its that amazing. Finally got it working ONLINE which is a massive bonus. I think I just need to play with more people. I only play with 1 guy and I don't think he really gets into stories of games, whereas I like following the story.

Why was I not enjoying it yesterday? Initially it felt as though there were nowhere near enough improvements from BL1. It felt too much like it could have been DLC.

It's literally just more Borderlands with the improvements that were needed for the game. The loot is still incredibly addicting, the gunplay is awesome and the new enemies + tougher and more varied AI is way more fun than the first..

This sums my opinion up straight away, from yesterday, but in a negative light. The improvements that have been made could and should have been made with DLC. It felt as though they've realized "regardless of how good BL was we really screwed up some things.... Let's make people buy a whole new game to get what we should have made." I did not enjoy the sensation that I was purchasing a whole new game for something that, at the time, I believed could have easily been made with DLC.

However, the game has a certain charm that just grows on me. Glad I made the purchase.

I haven't picked up a "decent" weapon yet. The guns I have are decent enough but no blue/purple/ or orange rarity guns yet.
Hopefully next time we jump on, there is some awesome weapons for ME.
I know I could have stolen that sniper, but camo was eager for that! lol

It kind of IS DLC though. It's only $70 and offers what is looking to be around 30-40+ hours of content at minimum, DLC would offer about the same for the same price (10 hours for about $20 usually).

It's been 3 years since Borderlands, so any more of that, I'm absolutely fine with.

I haven't picked up a "decent" weapon yet. The guns I have are decent enough but no blue/purple/ or orange rarity guns yet.

Found some good guns finally. Heaps of snipers too after not seeing one all day yesterday.

Already seriously debating whether or not to get the Season Pass. It's $40 which is crazy to think it's more than half price of the actual game, but it'll cover 4 DLC Packs (for the price of 3), which you'd expect will be somewhat similar to Borderland's set of DLC, as in story based for the most part (and probably to feature the EB pre-order bonus horde mode later down the line as well).

It will also likely feature a level cap raiser, as the trophy for reaching level 50 in the game says 'Capped out---For Now'. And one of the DLC for Borderlands raised it up to 61.

Might wait and see on the quality of it all overall I guess, but I am already so keen for more Borderlands even though I'm not even a quarter of the way through this!

That said though, there's some of my most anticipated games in years coming out in a few months time, so they may take up considerable time as well.

If anybody wants a couple of free rare weapons from the Sanctuary. Go to 'Extras' and 'Shift Code' and sign up for Gearbox Software Shift (all you need to do is enter an email and password) and you get a free skeleton key for the Rare Chest in Sanctuary.

The best thing is that the higher the level, the better the loot, so I'm going to save mine until I'm full level (or have completed one playthrough) and get something epic.
