brock mclean having a shocker tonight.. looks like he picked the wrong time to jump ship.. to the wrong team.. looks like with judd playing forward more he may cop the tag sometimes

Hypocrisy Alert: Refusing to shake Kirk's should not be highlighted in a negative fashion, we have had a captain do exactly the same thing.

That said, and more importantly, his actual performance was pretty average. LOL at a Carlton fan on their board noting 'he is too slow'.

Didn't do much, had a few handballs and maybe one kick? playing on Kirk.. not good enough even for a NAB cup game.

From reports he had a good pre season and was fit and ready to go.

TBH I don't take any real pleasure in seeing McLean fail but the fact that this happened to Carlton makes it all kind of euphoric.

I heard a rumour Brock missed the plane and was forced to drive to N.S.W... I guess it was the drive's fault he's ordinary.

I hope this thread doesn't come back to haunt us too much. Last week we were screaming at how stupid comments were about Naitanui after 1 NAB cup game against average opponents. Does the same theory apply to one NAB cup game against very good opponents?

The way I viewed the McLean trade was that he believed he was going nowhere at Melbourne (ie. Melbourne were going somewhere but he wasn't), so he went somewhere to get the best out of himself. I thought he carried himself well and made sure we got something nice out of it. Personally I hope he can play decent footy - maybe at say a second rate inside mid level (good enough to get a game every week but no regrets from us) and if he is going to have a few good games a year I hope he doesn't save them for us.

The shaking the hands thing - who cares?

Sorry if I sound silly, what did the whole Kirk and McLean mean?
