And Rounds was also claimed before Geelong's final pick at No.49. The quartet offer midfield depth – an area the Pies needed to replenish with its lost experience from 2007-08. I think there's a fair basis for comparison with Rounds and Zaharakis this year. Rounds has had a significantly better debut season in the TAC Cup than Zaharakis did, and was picked up at #46, whereas Zaharakis was overlooked after his debut season and picked up at #23 by Essendon.

We've got a kid who by the natural rate of improvement would have been top 20 next year, so good job by Hine and co.
