What a load of crap that is. You just weren't good enough to smash them. If you could have you would have.

Yup, however my retort is who cares? We did everything we needed to.

It's not like we got rolled by 60 to the Hawks or fumbled the Sydney match up.

They can . So will 7 other clubs in the finals.
All that ever matters is whether you do, and 7 of the 8 won't win the premiership.

The Crows are in a rich vein of form and playing good football.
I am happy to see them performing so well and if Geelong wont win it, I certainly will not be disappointed to see Adelaide at the top again. It has been 27 years since their last premiership.

Wonder how much of a backhander SevenWest media is getting from Virgin and Qantas for doing their marketing for them -Selling out backhaul Friday arvo/Sat morning seats on Adelaide - Melbourne flights 6 weeks in advance at full fare only happens one time a year.

Happens every year in August in the non-Vic states when one of their teams looks a chance of making the GF. Must be a good money earner for them.

Both airlines have only so many planes at hand so pumping up demand for all return routes leading to high prices
The airline duopoly can get stuffed. If we make it, I'll drive. However, I have the luxury of being 'only' 8 hours' drive away from Melbourne, while driving is much harder for Queensland and WA fans.

It's an open field this year. There won't be any teams making up numbers in finals, they legitimately all have a chance.

So yeah, Adelaide certainly can. But if they win the minor permiership I don't have them as favourites. I don't think any team is a favourite in 2025.
You think every top 9 team has exactly the same chance?

who won't handle the pressure, the players or Nicks?
Both, but I think had the Crows got someone like Simpson or a very experienced coach/manager, they would have put themselves in the best possible position to get very close to a premiership. Nicks doesn't have finals experience, either, as a senior coach, which would put him at a disadvantage. Blight in 97 was incredibly experienced as a coach, which put the Crows is the best possible position from a management point.

Yeah, Crows play crap footy, hopeless attack, have done nothing to upgrade the defense, rank low in both for and against, rubbish %, none of their players seem interested in the gameolan, none seem to play by team rules, none seem to care less. They haven't shown any heart and resolve to come back from losing positions. And finally, they'll struggle to make the 8 with such a hopeless footy department.
You don't need to get passive aggressive/sarcastic over the fact that finals is a different beast to the home and away season.

Weird. At the beginning of the year, pundits were talking up the lists of Collingwood, Brisbane and Geelong, but it’s Adelaide that’s top. How did that happen?
Nobody predicted the Crows as the minor premiers in 2005, either, they got top spot at the end of the home and away season, but how did that turn out? Not even a grand final appearance.

I think they can definitely get to the prelim, if they make the granny, I don't think they're winning it due to lack of finals experience and the coach/system being flaky. There's better coached/managed clubs. If 1997 Blight was coaching the Crows in 2025, I think they would have a chance.

Ever heard of Murray Davis?

He's not the senior coach, nor has he ever been a senior coach.

You said ‘coach/system’, and ‘coached/managed’ clubs, and not ‘senior coach’. You probably wouldn’t know anything about Davis, but……..there’s many reasons why we’re top of the ladder now and may go on to the big dance and possibly win it. Adelaide Director of Coaching Murray Davis is a HUGE one. 👍🏼

Both, but I think had the Crows got someone like Simpson or a very experienced coach/manager, they would have put themselves in the best possible position to get very close to a premiership. OK so this ABSOLUTELY confirms you don’t know squat about what you are raving on about. Davis was a huge part of Brisbane’s growth from bottom to top, and their flag last year.

““He has played a vital role in helping the club go from bottom of the ladder to premiers, especially working with our defenders and forwards.”

Drugs do amazing things to opposition midfields in prelims…. cough west coast cough

Or was that 2006….or both………I can’t remember…..

Personally think it was more West Coast being really good today than the other way around. Adelaide will be fine
Bit of both.

West Coast brought their A game pressure.

Crows had a good half of the team having poor days & not switched on.

I’d like to see Rhett Biglands and Aaron Sandilands go into business together, preferably in the retail property industry.

That way you could arrange to meet up with mates for a sandwich in the food court at the Sandibiglands complex.
