This is from the same OP who said Carlton wouldn't win a game this season.
obviously blues would prefer that this didnt happen but some things are beyond a football clubs control. my understanding is that the blues will have a particularly good year financially this year.

A million dollar hole isn't a short term inconvenience.
They won't have any issues finding a replacement, a club of their history and stature you can be assured of that.
Maybe drop the "they're ****ed" charade. Very little share your concern.

I find it interesting that people are saying Carlton will have no difficulty finding a replacement sponsor.

Acquire Learning an associated company of CareerOne was their shorts sponsor. Gone.
CareerOne became their shorts sponsor and one of their two main shirt sponsors along with Hyundai.

Potentially not only a shirt sponsor but also a shorts sponsor needs to be found.

A thread from November 2015 gives an interesting insight into Carlton at that time;
https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/handing-the-keys-to-the-afl-carltons-situation.1117308/

How far have they progressed?

And as far as this being beyond the club's control, I mentioned in the thread cited above;
https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/thre...rltons-situation.1117308/page-3#post-41950416
Would also have thought having 2 of your main sponsors effectively being the one company and one that operates in an industry under increasing scrutiny is less than ideal.

Can't help but feel that Carlton's contingency planning extends to asking Bruce and Jeannie for another handout.

In which case they should be denined. Poor business decisions are their own problem.

Interesting too given two clubs don't have a back-of-jumper sponsor right now.
