Like the new guys. Thought bruhn showed a lot of promise, especially early but his game time was pretty low and O’Henry with a nice mark and still 2 goals when the pies were out to get him. We were always going to be underdone and it showed in the last quarter. We looked clinical at stages so It’ll come. Injuries are a concern though and we were killed around the stoppages.

Pretty sure Scott said Kolo was OUT next week for all the people thinking he will come in and help our tall backs (Sav only by the looks of it) out.
yeah that was one I couldn’t hear clearly…so wasn’t sure.

if kolo can’t come back next week from concussion a couple of weeks before does that mean something else is going on?

Pretty scary how feral the pies supporters were acting when Ollie kicked his first goal, I can't ever remember a time when a Geelong player was traded to another team & cats supporters were up in arms & super abusive towards the player that was traded.

What's bizarre is that they have Nathan Kreuger, who did the exact same thing as Henry except in the opposite direction.

Scott said in presser Kolo will miss next week.

Carlton game will be 21 days after Kolo’s head knock in the practice game. Very concerning if he’s already been ruled out, for for the team but more importantly for Jake’s health.

2nd game as a KPD
As the most Anti Sav guy going around this guy will only get better when more confident
I'd love to share that confidence. He has the football IQ of a doormat.

Winners are grinners, losers can do as they please. We will be even better with some of our guys back too, Lipinski, Ginnivan, Johnson, so bring i on later in the season.
I'm guessing the QF is still eating you up inside. Either that or you're 7 years old.

0-3 would be 1-3 after we play hawthorn but ideally we win one of our 1st 3. Our draw after the bye is quite kind with all the home games we just need to try and get to the bye above 50 % say 7-5 or 8-4 and we should hopefully have all the injured guys (except maybe henry) back by then.

Head to the bye 8-4 and i'd be wrapt.

Serious stuff begins from that point on.

Trust the media to attack the club for clicks 🙄🙄

Absolute crickets about the players and supporters targeting Ollie and our players

It's Collingwood what does anyone expect.

Their feral antics will always be the same.

And nothing will be said.

Just be thankful you don't support a bogan club like that.

Injuries killed us, as did letting them have a spare at the stoppage. And what has happened to Close? Looks a shell of the player he was last year.
Awesome game, much better quality than Rich and Carlton. Collingwood absolutely flying and we were right in it with about 5 mins to go.

Love the potential Ollie has & will bring to the team.

You don't remember Leigh Colbert? Man did he copped it for years by our fans!! That first game against North at Docklands I can remember how feral and angry most of our fans where me included.

I thought Ollie had a good game and handled the situation very well.

Asking for a transfer to another club is one thing, but publicly pissing on your old club as you do so is bound to cause some resentment.

Or it could be that the club is following the new international standard rest time for concussions of 26 days

I was amazed at the Pies guys just over the fence screaming like crazies at Henry when he took a kick there. It was really insane stuff and I do wonder (sometimes) what the rest of their lives must be like. Pretty shallow I suspect.

Whilst all teams have their share I guess, that mob is feral.

They must have loved the onfield stuff. clearly a deliberate strategy to put us off our game. Did not work until we ran out of gas.
I hope the one hitting the fence has a sore hand today.

Karma going to take a giant shit on them all once the clubs are matching their fitness

They threw everything at us with better fitness and none of their key defenders f getting injuired in the game and they barely won

Acting like they won the GF is laughable

Apparently the Pies have secured a 'famous' victory tonight.

Like, what??
Sorry for the intrusion, I tipped the cats so I'm flat as well. That saying drives me crazy, feels like we've had more 'famous victories' in the past 5 seasons than we did the previous 120. Howie is the worse with using it, every close game is famous according to him, right up there with the 96 or 99 preliminary finals. Without knowing who said it if it was channel 7 my guess would be Hamish McLachlin. Melbourne beat the reigning premiers north melbourne in round 1 1997 and then finished bottom, so it means nothing just another game. Sorry about my vent on here, best of luck.

We're getting old, Giggler.

I was there at Victoria Park in 1991; the kids these days just don't realise what it was like.

I love intrusions if in the right spirit.

I think Bruce McAvaney will go down in history, but his use of "famous" is/was ridiculous.

One thing I was slightly disappointed in last night was a 3/4 time our new captain had been on the ground (TOG) less than anyone in our side (besides Parf/Stewart).

Maybe they are just easing him into it but 63% game time for him was pretty low considering it was his first official game as captain.

Thought he needed to do more to be honest.

Only R1 though, just something I noticed.
