The only change to the side from last week is Crowley in for Michael Johnson. It's understandable bringing in a running player since we have been lacking in that department in recent weeks, but surely Johnson has been playing better than Thornton and Polak in recent weeks?

Johnson's form has been better than Polaks. Surely they are similar players. I am very disapointed with the team picked. Hopegully its just a smoke screen. Changes should be made before Sunday.

Polly was actually decent last week, not high possies - he took telling marks and kicked 2 goals.. something we probably wouldnt have believed by his shooting at goal - i would have though gilmore may have gotten a run ahead of crowley doesnt matter go freo get a winski

MJ has been servicable for a new young player this year but not too much more than that.

MJ is playing as a tall backman. Who would he play on? The Bullies will come with their small forward line and MJ would sit on the pine.

Polak is of no value to us in the WAFL. We can stretch the Bullies back line with Polly, Pav and McPharlin forward and if Freo's midfield stands up and wins the ball then we will win convincingly as they don't have the big men to stop us.

To me Gilmore seems a bit soft and too one sided. Gilmore always seems to get worked off the ball. He can't get a game in our midfield so he better become harder at the ball or he can stay in the WAFL collecting 20-odd possies off a HBF with about half the prossure on him. Crowley has pace and is harder at it that Gilmore.

MJ may have been just servicable, but in comparison to Polak he's been a lot better over the last 2 or 3 games.
"Polak is no value to us in the WAFL". Well he hasn't been much value to us in the AFL lately.
We could also stretch the Bulldogs backline with MJ up forward! He's more of a forward than Polak. Polak still has to get over his yips at shooting for goal, as last week his goal was 25m out directly in front?

I just think Polak would benefit from being dropped to the WAFL for a week or so, to get his fitness and confidence back. Where as MJ would develop more in the 1sts at the moment. Just my opinion.
I also don't like the impression of CC favouring players from this selection. He was playing favourites last year and the reports out of FReo were that he had been told to change this aspect. Doesn't look like he can?

Polak has to play, otherwise who's going to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't go out, get trashed and pick up some slag from metros?

Has he moved on to metros now?

That would be metros in Freo... not the one where your lot hang out with their "prominent underworld Northbridge identity" mates... ;)

Actually you would be suprised how often the eagles players come down to metros.
