Collingwood Magpies in the A-League would be great.

Maybe a commercial arrangement with Newcastle United (UK) or Juventus?

Would not put it past Eddie from Trying.

Might even want a Team in the Big Bash

Annnnnnd then people realise why Ed is president.

So we can brag about all of our money to make up for our lack of on field success?

AWESOME!

Surely we're better than Richmond supporters and attendance figures

Flushed with funds yet we have the worst football department in the league.

Well considering there is now a salary cap for football department spending not sure what your point is there; this extra money allows the magpies to continue their off field charity work with much needed support and funding. Isnt that a good thing?

Given its a soft cap your's is lost on me too? Either pay the FD tax or spend smarter as the Hawks and Dogs currently do. Either way it doesn't excuse us from having a s**t FD. We exist to win premierships so let the newly introduced lottery fund the charitable ventures given its a good thing...

Serious question Mr Dog.
What changes would you make in the FD.

And no, I'm not looking for the simplistic sack a coach or two.

I'm looking to understand what you would like to see?

Eg: I think our long term weakness is the ongoing high level performance and growth of our older types.
They seem to plateau and stagnate.
Perhaps more emphasis on this area?

Interested in your thoughts

And yes we should just pay the tax, big deal, just pay it.
And if that means less monies on certain non football matters, so be it.

Clean out the rehab and physio areas. Too many blunders.

Employ a ruck coach.

Beef up our recruiting team (more eyes on the ground and a move away from the dream team).

Fix up the welfare department. This one may have taken place in the off-season.

I won't bother going into the other area, but suffice to say we need change there too.

More recruiters you say?
Absolutely.
Best investment is eyes on the ground all over the country
