Seriously who gives a ...... will pick who we pick amd possibly make finals but we have not been corages to take a chance over the last 6 weeks so what is going to change

On SM-G996B using BigFooty.com mobile app

We have a lot of very average players in our bottom 7 to 8 -players. BUT Bevo in the words of John McEnroe you cannot be serious in selecting Arty Jones. In last 2 full games zero and 3 possessions. He maybe a player in a few seasons but selecting him now is like playing one man short. He was not the reason we lost against the hawks but it sure did not help.

OUT:
Alex Keath - cya later , never again. He has zero idea what he is doing on the field.
Arthur Jones - cool story, not a good footballer. Cya later
Jackson Macrae - run the fake injury storyline, give him the rest of the year off
Libba - Concussion

IN:
Mclean - libba replacement
Clarke - Jones replacement
Scott - Macrae replacement
No replacement for Keath, happy to play 1 down as that is better than playing with Keath.

Cheers

It realistically won't happen, but I'd love to find a way to squeeze Jordan Sweet into the team. Those of you who have been watching the twos will have seen his physicality and dominance over recent weeks. We could have used that down in Tassie today. It will be a real shame to see him, in all likelihood, plying his trade in the seniors for another team next year.

There is no doubt at all that Sweet has improved his mobility around the ground. He is actually running to more general contests apart from just ruck contests. I don't know how he fits in a team with both English and Lobb. It's a pity that he hasn't been given at least a couple of opportunities this season but how does he fit our team balance? If he leaves, are there any first ruck opportunities elsewhere? North and West Coast probably only candidates. Otherwise, it's life as a perennial understudy.

Out : Weightman, Vandermeer, B Smith, unfortunately Libba.
In : whoever is in form regardless of ‘structure’.

I’d be focusing in on what structure we will take for Carlton in week one of finals as that’s our likely finish at this stage. For them it should be two tall backs.

Libba obviously misses this one and there were some horrible performances.

Out: Libba (inj) VDM Arty Keath
In: JJ Clarke McLean Baker

Sub: Arty

So much for the keep the 3 tall backline structure for the finals.
Credit to O'donell and Jones holding up.
Unless we try Busslinger
There is no 3rd tall capable on the list.
Would be better undersized or playing Cleary or Khanis.
Still a chance! But we have to beat the Geelong. CORIO CURSE.
Well glad it is sort of fitting.
And for Beveredge an arch nemesis in Scott.
And two weeks to prepare a game plan.
Which will be Dekonning owning Naughton
Stewart doing as will.
And stalwarts waving good bye to another feel good vibe.
And unflavoured players looking elsewhere.

Cleary is the better option as he has played there all year in the 2s

If Sweet looks like he is improving (and I'm not a regular VFL watcher so will need to rely on others here for that view) then why wouldn't you give him a game? Give English a rest, or preferably play him in the Lobb spot and Sweet in the middle. The most dangerous this side have looked across the past 5-6 seasons was the first half of 2021 when we had Martin/English playing. That Bevo hasn't tried this more, even against some poorer teams to try it out, remains a mystery to me - if Sweet just wasn't justifying selection in the twos then I can understand it, although we don't seem to have that selection integrity for others.

In regards to the rest of the side, I agree with those who are saying West should play in Libba's spot. Couldn't really care less about the rest of it, as long as the players get an absolute roasting for their collective efforts on Sunday. That was simply unacceptable on a number of levels.

There's nothing surer than we'll burst out of the blocks against WC like the Richmond game, and probably cruise to a 10-12 goal win rather than really boost percentage. Then have to beat Geelong, where we'll get out to a 4-5 goal lead early and then gradually be worn down by the gap in coaching competence and player execution.

OUT:
Keath, VDM, Libba, A Jones

IN:
Cleary, Busslinger, Baker, Garcia (at least he'll have a dip)

Sub Toby McLean

Sweet still can't play forward so how will he play the Lobb role?

Lobb was also our most likely and most consistent tall yesterday not that he had much to beat given how poor Marra was after 10 minutes

I wouldn't mind seeing a stretch of games without Tim and with Sweet now though,

As much as Tim is a "Unicorn" he is the exception to the rule but is still often beaten by lesser players
