Sweet still can't play forward so how will he play the Lobb role?
Lobb was also our most likely and most consistent tall yesterday not that he had much to beat given how poor Marra was after 10 minutes
I wouldn't mind seeing a stretch of games without Tim and with Sweet now though,
As much as Tim is a "Unicorn" he is the exception to the rule but is still often beaten by lesser players
I meant rather than resting Tim, have him play in the Lobb (KPF/second ruck) role that he was so good at in early 2021 - not Sweet. Have Sweet in as the main ruck, and Tim instead of Lobb in the forward line. Although I do agree that Lobb has been relatively good recently, albeit with a couple of bad misses in the fourth yesterday (which I think Tim might have kicked at least one of, hence my interest in seeing him back in the forward line).
All of that said, I don't think it's realistic. Tim is obviously (and probably rightly, even with his faults) seen as the first ruck only. But I would give Sweet the game this week, even if it's as a token attempt at putting him in the shop window to bump up his value - as teams will have to trade for him, right?
JUH did have a poor game, was pretty bad at a few contests - particularly ground balls/tackles - but he wasn't alone there. Best guess is he'll have a monster game this week against not much, but a bigger test awaits in rd 24. He'll still be inconsistent some weeks but he will need to stand up against a good Geelong defense.
