If Phillips is omitted again but RHJ gets a call up I am just going to snap.
He should come in (even as sub) and RHJ should have a couple of games in the VFL like Scott is....

Wardlaw, Phillips and either Teakle or Maley should come in...

We need another tall in our forward line...Why cant the club see that...

As they are nothing alike and don’t play a similar role at all, I don’t see the connection?

If RHJ can play like he did earlier in the year I’d have him in for Stephens.

I want George in and I don’t know which two mids I’m dropping to make room for both him and WilPhil, as much as I’d like to see him in the seniors.

Because the nuffies know more than club appointed staff.

Give it a spell!!

Phillips has played very very well at VFL level since being dropped and has arguably 'earned' a recall.

RHJ has not.

Hardeman stiff if he can't get a game, although not a huge shock given an unsettled backline. I'd have him in for a game personally but there is plenty of time this year for that to happen I guess. Just think he has a little more dash and true defensive credentials (albeit raw).

Not playing Bailey is an error. Need running power.

Maybe, maybe not.

From a "this week" POV that may be the case. If they're trying to impart a specific lesson - to Bailey and the wider team - then it makes sense for that message to be absolutely crystal clear in a way that 1 week out of the AFL (without even a VFL game) doesn't necessarily achieve.

Which other mid are you dropping for Phillips?

I've already said it in this thread, but I'd be omitting McKercher and Duursma, moving Simpkin to HFF and Powell to HBF.

Rotate Phillips and Wardlaw through the midfield instead of Simpkin and Powell.

Tom Powell. Has been very ordinary except for the game against the Dees, should be held to the same standards as Phillips but we know he isn't.
Powell leads the club for total and average tackles per game this season and is second behind Sheeze for pressure acts tho he led both stats in the game against GC.

He won't be dropped.

I guess we will see with the changes but I reckon McKercher might be experiencing a "teachable moment" opportunity and they may, may let that play out in the AFL given he is fit and fast.

Tom De Koning is an option to play more forward this week.

Michael Voss.

You allergic to players who can transition the ball?

Whilst I agree he has been ordinary - if Phillips had some of the down games he’s had this season - they’d be in the best handful of games Phillips has had. I’m on the Powelly to half back train as I have said in his thread but right now he’s just a better midfielder than Phillips plain and simple.

No I'm allergic to players who don't tackle and don't chase defensively.

I wrote the exact same thing then deleted it as I saw your post.

He's also on par with clearances with LDU, Parker

Its madness to want to drop him.

Fair point

I don't have a problem with McKercher getting dropped but I can see why you'd give him a chance to improve in the firsts before dropping him. Duursma worked hard to provide a marking outlet on the hbf and his transition work got us goals, one of which he kicked himself after winning the loose ball in defense and working up the field to get into position and have a shot for goal.

He was also prepared to chase in the forward line and in defense.
