60% of game time is really three quarters.
25% per quarter but no one plays full quarters so 20% being the going rate per quarter equates to about 3 quarters.
Even at 60% GT 15 touches is less than what's expected. You can't compare it to be 100% to adjust the figure because no one is playing that much.

It's not even debatable that he doesn't find the ball enough. It has been the case every game this year. and last year. It is definitely his weakness and still isn't improving.

What he does bring to the side and why I'd pick him is his defensive application, depth to our midfield and he's generally very clean with his hands and not unreliable by foot.

He's not doing enough to demand a spot but he's also not failing to the point he should be in and out of the side like a yo-yo.

I feel sorry for him but I'm not in love with him.

Last week LDU played 107 minutes in the middle, Powell 98, Phillips only played 72. Some people on here don’t think LDU isn’t doing enough, but he’s literally carrying the midfield.

Even with that history, there's not a chance in hell we give him seven years of grace to prove himself.

It's go-time for Will, and he comes across as sharp enough that he'd know that already

I reckon if nuffies like us in here can see what he brings, I think the coaches would most certainly be aware.

He’s a very clean one grab player who doesn’t panic under pressure and usually finds a good release option to the outside.

The only question would be if they think he’s surplus to what we need and not worth the wait… as harsh as that is, but it’s professional level footy, so it comes with the territory

The premise of clubs always being right is flawed though. They can be very experienced but still subject to wood for the trees factor themselves or rigidly working to a predetermined template.

Mark Stevens mentioned here was a great example. Denis didn't rate him - if Bigfooty existed then plenty would've written him off "well if the coach doesn't rate him" etc.

He goes to be coached by Malcolm Blight who rates him, builds up his confidence and makes him a quality player in a premiership.

Even experts get them wrong.

It will be beyond belief if we come out on Sunday in the first quarter as flat as a tack again given how poor we have been all season in this area and it's apparently something we've identified and are desperate to change...

Yet, addressing this requires mental fortitude which we know our playing group have shown no evidence of having.

Is that the criticism of LDU?

It’s his disposal quality, holding onto the ball too long and defensive efforts for me. He is elite at finding the ball in the contest.

Tell me again to "relax" because Corr/Logue won't akshually be selected.

Corr obviously very lucky that Arch got injured and the cupboard is bare. That said, even though Kawson's form hasn't been great, I would have much rathered he stay in the team than Corr for no other reason that I don't think Corr deserves a recall under any circumstance after only 1 week in the VFL that was less than inspiring.

True, but they have more information than us, but not in this case, (we’ll sort of, they’d be more privy to the reason) in this case we’re discussing a player that isn’t currently capable of playing 80% midfield minutes.

It’d be a different situation if he was playing 80% or more and still in and out.

Yeah I agree. Although this is probably why he was named on the bench. Do we really need three tall defenders for this game though?
