I just hope we don't go hell for leather trying to win this game and end up banged up for finals like we did against Richmond in 2020. We won that minor round game and then lost when it counted.

We have a thread about that. Jonas should have been made to retire last year, but the dumb ****ery of our esteemed head coach, chairman and ceo leave a lot to be desired.

What's being missed is that we're pretty close to full strength here. Fantasia or DBJ would be ahead of Evans if available and you could argue the toss over whether Williams should be in or not. But all key players are playing, there are no significant outs at all.

Zero excuses. If we get smashed here it will be absolutely damning.

You would almost suspect a smashing would end our genuine flag chances.. with our only hope being geelong/melb/bris can knock collingwood out.

I feel like you need to be in the inner sanctum to understand the Williams out call. Nice ball use is great, but it does feel like he's slipped lately. Only those inside the club would know.

Evans is a no brainer, ridiculous we picked Mead ahead of him. It was stupid last week to pick a mid as a small forward when Evans had been dominating at SANFL level. Hopefully he can perform. If not DBJ or Fantasia just replace him. He's earned his chance, now has to take it.

Rest of the selections are pretty obvious.

Mead played small forward. It was a ridiculous 'set him up to fail' decision.
Boak played a lot inside, he probably slides to the Burgoyne wing and JHF plays the Boak role.
