Well Gheric is unlikely to play this week, but even given they are without 3 talls in defense, they are still a very tall heavy side. Which may bring them undone at Subiaco. Even so you'd have to consider bringing back Johnson or Gilmore. Gilmore played in the round one clash.

While we're at it, why not bring in Daniel Haines?

How "confirmed" is this... or is it still in the rumour stage? I reckon that Big Frase would be the match-up that will really cause us concerns. While our defence has battled well out of their weight division this year (Parker / Grover + a bunch of skinny, inexperienced kids have basically held it together most of the year) - Gehrig is in another dimension altogether when it comes to size/strength/bulk etc. There will be no containing him + Hamill + Riewoldt + Koschitske... with Milne chiming in - that's a pretty formidable forward line for our skinny, inexperienced kids to cope with.

I think our backline needs to be sent over to IP's place for a good feed.

No IP, Pav is not in our backline .......
The guy in her avatar may not be either anymore, but in this case I'm sure she will argue that he still is ;)

Just heard that Gehrig didn't train and didn't board the plane with the rest of the team but Grant Thomas is confident that he will play.

IN: Polak
Emergencies: Daniel GILMORE, Shaun McMANUS, Ryan MURPHY

If Schofield plays there will be a lot of disappointed Freo supporters. What happened to Hayden? Should have played last week and isn't even in the 25 this week.

Schofield is in and this is the right move. He should be there ahead of Hayden, Walker, Dodd etc.

Leave it to CC. He knows the players best.

Rumour has it Hayden copped the brunt of CC's fury at last weeks performance. As has Gilmore for most of the season.

I hope you are being sarcastic here?

Surely McManus will come in & Gilmore....

BTW Gehrig was on plane

I'm a CC supporter, but for crying out loud, the only reason Schoey keeps getting a run has to be to try and justify the decision to get him on a 2 year contract.

Memo to Freo match committee: You do not have to select Schoey to justify the clubs recruitment decisions to me.

I like enthusiasm and having a positive attitide. But have you inhaled something or overdosed on some pills ?

Or are you a troll and are taking the p*ss outta Freo supporters ?

Spare a thought for Blackie.

1 point in round 2 against his old team.

Tomorrow he gets another chance. All the more reason to be so pumped the team should be about to burst.

Going by the talk all week its going to be a fiery 1st few minutes.

Cookie...crash

Blackie pick up.. 60 metre pass to a leading pav....... wheels around and drills it.

Oh well back to reality.

Being a Friday game CC can can play bluff right up till the team sheets are in.

Personally I wouldnt play schofield the yard of pace he has lost means he is under too much pressure too often when delivering the ball. On the up side ive seen him be cool under pressure.

If CC etc decides to go mid size I'd rather macca in at least we know he will get in and under.

With saints tall forward line the ideal would be Gilmore in, play FF and give Elvis a run down back. Add Polly in to the mix and we have a good selection of mobile talls.

If haze gets some of the ball, Peake and Schammer supplying the pace we start to look pretty good.

I am a big CC fan. He is doing a great job and he has got us into the top 8 against the odds. We will be playing finals footy and put up a good show by winning a couple this time round.

If CC thinks that Schoefield need to be there to fit in with the game plan, then its a good move.

I would be happy to see No-Scho out of the squad, not just the team. Anyone of the emergencies would be a better option.

This is something that drives me mad about CC, he perseveres with players/game plans for far too long. Usually well after it is obviously not working.

And Dwayo, WTF?

It obviously worked for 5 out of the past 6 weeks. 1 embarrassing loss and it's all erased. Sure it wasn't acceptable but even you can't blame last weeks loss on Schofield or Medhurst alone.

As mentioned above Hayden didn't play last week. I'm not a big fan of Happy Gilmore but I think he played pretty well against the swans.

Based on what? Anyone who thinks Schofield deserves a game because he is quick must be living in the past. I'd back Darren Lehmann to beat him over 40 metres.

Don’t get me wrong FW, I like Medhurst and agree with those who believe he is unfairly maligned every time we lose.

I can’t say the same about Schofield though, slow and ineffective when he occasionally gets the ball. Drives me mad to see him out their when we are leaving Macca out of the team.

Lastly, I am becoming increasingly ambivalent about CC. Maybe I’m on my own complaining about his inability to adapt to change quickly (whether it be gameday tactics, or poor player performance), but it still annoys me. Still way off asking for his head though, would hate to start that vicious cycle again.

Slacker,

That cycle will be back soon enough. Irrespective of what happens for the rest of the season, this year CC proved he couldn't coach. He just doesn't get it.
