Subiaco defender Greg Broughton and Claremont midfielder Matt de Boer are tipped to join fellow first year players Stephen Hill and Nic Suban in the team to play Adelaide at Subiaco Oval on Sunday. Experienced defender Roger Hayden remains just a 50-50 chance to return from a hamstring injury.

I'd be happy with those changes but if Broughton and De Boer come in Gilmore will be singing

Absolutely spot on Dom. The free ride Tarrant gets here compared to players like Mundy, Peake, Johnson and now even Pav is staggering. We are so grateful he bobs up with 10 possies it goes unmentioned he kicked 1 point from a sitter.
I like your idea for the backline. Duff would be very good playing mostly forward of centre as he usually kicks a good ball into the 50. Head would look great for Souths tomorrow night at Medibank.

Does not stop presenting all day every day.. regardless of the delivery, and the fact that 80% of the time he gets ignored with everyone looking for Pav.

I agree he has nowhere near given us what we expected of him, but his effort can never be questioned.

Cant say that for the other three at times (I wont include Pav in this, altho his effort on the weekend was Johnsonesque)

So does Bradley, and he actually had more possessions than Tarrant even though he spent almost more than a third of the game on the bench.

Why does Tarrant get patted on the back for working hard even though he's a terrible kick for goal where as (quite rightly) everyone shits on Browne? Any marking forward with 200 games experience who has 11 possessions and zero goals has had a quiet game regardless of how many kilometres they cover.

I agree with you but for most players effort is not considered enough eg Thornton tries his guts out all day yet gets mercilessly bagged. I don't dislike Tarrant I dislike the double standard. I suppose it's understandable we paid top dollar so we want to value him.

He probably gets patted on the back because He is leading the assists for the season to date, despite playing the best part of a fair bit in the backline.

Do the score assists counter act the deflation caused by his many misses?

Just leave him in the backline!!!

Meh.. fair call... i reckon Tarrant gets reamed by the media / supporters every week, so each to their own i guess. Saying he had a poor game tho, simply isnt true

Can someone tell me why the footy show had Drum, Murphy and Gilmore as ins, and yet the back page of the west pretty much refutes Drum and Murphy even being considered?

Someone is telling fibs :p
