Call it as i see it. When was the last time he has had a real impact in general play? Taking marks, releasing pressure?

Winning the clearance and getting the inside 50 that led to Gov's winning goal against Port?

JK in for Allen is the only obvious change. If they bring Jetts in I'm really not sure who should be left out for him. Great dilemma for the club to have!
Will Schofield:
1. Seasoned defender
2. Will punch ball to boundary
3. Sticks on his man
4. Saves goals

Lewis Jetta
1. Will turn ball over
2. Doesn't like to run too hard
3. Doesn't stick to his man
4. Generally CBF

Yep that was one. What about his game to game general field play as a tall ruckman? Most modest ruckman can at least take a pressure saving mark.

Lycett is not a finished product yet he has missed a lot of continuity building his Ruck craft through injury and being a 2 nd string option..
Takes time to really become a dominant ruckman that has good understanding of how his mids move ..

All this slyce knocking is unbearable bloke has played 3 and a half of the top rucks in the comp in recent weeks being Grundy gawn Martin Ryder.. he isn't a top 5 ruckman but he competes lay off him we aren't dropping a ruckman!!

Well too bad. He has been average for a while. He has had little to no impact in general play or in the ruck for a while. If he was half as good as some are making out why do we need to play 2 rucks? Every other club plays 1 ruck. Why do we need to cover for him constantly? I'm not saying he gets dropped Im asking why he can't hold down the ruck spot for an entire game. I reckon he just cant do it (yet maybe), he can't do the basics well so he needs a chop out by a second stringer who is doing a much better job atm. Truth is Lycett is a chop out for NN who is just a filler when Nick needs a rest. If Nick could ruck an entire game, Lycett would be playing his entire career in the 2's.

Lycett isnt moving anywhere as well as he can. I reckon he's veen carrying something. A week off then hopefully another could revitalise this crucial player.

I am waiting for the day that when an Eagles player is not playing well he is not deemed to be carrying an injury.
Lycett is not struggling, he is doing the best he can with the very little ability he has. Vardy is better than him and Vardy is not a ruckman.

Having said that, both Lycett and Vardy will be playing so it doesn't matter.

It wouldn't be the popular decision, but i wouldn't be against Duggan being the one to come out for Jetta.

He seems like a good kid, and you cant really fault his intent, but his disposal is very, very ordinary. His left foot is shaky and his right foot only good for a hack kick. And its these type of guys who can get found out very quickly in a final.

And will the kid ever bust a tackle? I keep seeing him take on the tackler time and time again but he cannot break one. My personal nick name for the guy this year has been "Buster" Duggan in jest. If he keeps trying though i suppose probability suggests he will break one. Eventually.

Wouldn't be a day on the Eagles BigFooty board without a bit of unfair Jetta bashing.

He has been good more than he has been bad this year and is a walk up starter in finals.

Venables, Cripps, Ryan and Rioli were our best players in that order according to AFL Player Ratings.

Sheppard, Duggan, Lycett and OAllen were all worst on. (Worst to less worse).

Not sure how AFL player ratings rates the players and think maybe Sheppards rating was a bit unfair, but Duggan and Lycett were probably 2 of our worst on today from what I could tell.

Went over to watch the boys at the Gabba and FWIW flyin pulled out of two contests and these actions in themselves, means he shouldn’t be anywhere near the best players.

Hopefully the stern talking to he got when he was dragged after the second makes him realise you can’t be doing that s##t.

Its a good position to be in with Gaff and Naitanui out, I personally want Allen to keep playing as he is our next 10 years and to give him finals experience in his first year is something that bodes well for our future.
Umm what?

1. It’s a good position to be on missing out most important and arguably a top 5 important player?

2. Let’s blood a first year player in the finals as it bodes well for our future?

How about trying to win the bloody cup this year?

I noticed those and was a bit dirty on him too. The second one could've lead to an inside 50 or us, instead it went down the other end and they scored.

Brining in inexperienced players for a final is crazy talk. Suggesting Nelson, M Allen, Oscar or Partington come in is silly as is dropping Lycett.

Barrass takes Cox and stays with him, gets in front and bodies him out of the contest.

Gov plays loose and our other defenders man up.

Schofield plays on that Mihocek tall who kicked 3.2 v Freo.

Gov is our loose intercept player in defense.

Allan out for JK and Jetta comes in for Duggan or potentially Le cras. Both had poor DE% and didnt get much of it.
Agree about inexperience...and just for the record I wasn't talking about Partington in finals,
just Partington in general!
Lecca+Duggan have hardly been referred to 2's all season, unlikely for finals...If so, Duggan before Lecras.
