In Duryea, Jamarra, Jones

Weightman lucky to stay in, same for quite a few others. Need some more support up forward for Naughton and Williams I’m sorry but he cannot stay in the team after that performance. I hope Duryea is fit.

I can't cop the calls to drop Williams. He's been a key cog in our defence for a few years now and has more than enough runs on the board. Tonight's performance was uncharacteristic. He was on top of Fritsch before our midfield and defence imploded.

Out: Cordy, VDM, Hunter, Schache
In: O'Brien (hopefully), JJ, Jones, JUH.

It appears JUH is close to selection. He couldn't have put in a worse performance than Schache tonight.

Also need to fit Duryea into the back 6 but I'm finding it hard to find a spot.

What on earth is going on with our injury reports?

I understand your view on Williams but that was quite honestly one of the worst performances ever played by a Bulldogs player that I can remember. 6 turnovers that lead to opposition goals. The complete lack of confidence and skill. You are probably right that he holds his spot due to how reliable he has been in the past, but that’s two howlers in a row for mine and Duryea should be in that back 6 in my opinion, he is more reliable than Williams at the moment. But because Williams is taller they probably aren’t direct swaps, but anyway I would like to see him back in the team.

Yeah I know what you mean mate. We're all pissed and hurting. The bevo shit doesn't help.

Reckon our whole back line need a kick up the ass.

Not going to get any easier for the WBD defense, if big Harry and Charlie are on song next week. Time to give JUH a decent crack, need goals and support for big Aaron up front, can't see that coming from the likes of Hannan TBH.....

Out: Cordy, Schache, Hunter, VDM
In: JUH, O’Brien, JJ, Scott/Jones/West

Cordy - I just don’t want to see him in the side. Literally offers us nothing at both ends of the ground. At least with Jamarra there’s some sort of upside there.
Schache - A wing role just won’t cut it. He lacks the speed, intensity & desire to play around the ball and will be burnt by quality wingman. I can see the thought process of a tall wingman to help out defense but he’s not the guy if he drops uncontested marks floating back.
Hunter - He was awful
VDM - I’m off him for now. Desperately needs to improve skills and decision making.

Out:
Cordy
VDM
Treloar (inj)
Weightman

IN:
McComb
JUH
Wallis
JJ

I got no idea, but Cordy offers very little to the team, VDM needs consistent games in the twos, and Weightman needs a reality check.

We need goals and Wallis can play a role.

B: Williams Keath Richards
HB: Dale Gardner Crozier
C: Hunter Libba Macrae
HF: B.Smith Schache Johannisen
FF: Wallis Naughton JUH
Ruc: English Bont Dunkley

Int: McComb R.Smith Hannan Daniel

A lot of players rusty dropping easy marks, turnovers etc..They will fine tune .Round 1 they went ok...
Reckon though! when you lose a Forward you replace with a Forward. Good coach Bev .But he was ready to go on the big stage last night.Missed opportunity Hopefully next week.
Out R Smith weightman, Schache ,Cordy,
In Jamarra ,Garcia, Baku,Jones

Some of these blokes have got photos of Bevo in a compromising position I'm sure. The guys below were average last night. I know it's only Rd 1 but not winning anything with some of those efforts.

Hannan
Schache
Gardener
Hunter
Williams

Roarke was going on the list too, but he got better as the night went on

Benefit of being in Qld at the moment is the game was finished by 9pm

Don't need to swing the axe too hard. We played the reigning premiers and played okay.

Hi everyone it's Dan "The Hypocrite" Nnnnnnnnn here to suggest playing O'Brien forward after bitching about people suggesting it all off-season.

I just don't know what else to do. Nobody who watched the practice game could reasonably suggest JUH. "Couldn't be any worse than Schache" - yes, he could, and he certainly was in that practice game. Cordy doesn't demand the ball enough to be a reasonable foil to Naughton and the good teams know how to close down our smalls enough to make bringing it to ground a negligible advantage. At least O'Brien will be a little bit of a target before he drops the mark.

IN: O'Brien, Johannisen, *Duryea
OUT: Schache (oh boy that's gonna hurt the confidence), Vandermeer, *Cordy/Gardner

*if Duryea is fit or whatever the **** is happening with him is corrected, but someone needs to be accountable in the backline

FB: Duryea/Cordy - Keath - Williams
HB: Dale - Gardner/Cordy - Richards

C: B. Smith - Bontempelli - Macrae

HF: Hunter - O'Brien - Johannisen
FF: Hannan - Naughton - Weightman

R: English - Dunkley - Treloar

I: Liberatore - Daniel - Crozier - R. Smith

Williams, Hannan, Weightman, R. Smith need to show up next week or they're out. In the case of Hannan I'd replace him if I could think of anybody to do it with, and Roarke is the only player between the arcs with any interest in chasing a man.

Key position setup is a worry.

You want to give a bloke who is slow and has two cooked knees the job of chasing and trying to keep up with the opposition's best midfielders. I'll keep my opinion on that to myself.
He is cooked the decline was noticeable last year and really stood out last night. His decision making is also costing us games
