I really don't think Moore is that much of a concern. Loads of players have precautionary scans - Moore finished the game on Friday and was in a contest right up until the final siren.

Agreed, Treloar had scans recently but never missed a game.

I think most are thinking he could miss as Buckley flagged him being rested throughout the season and given we are playing Carlton he could be given the week off. (not that i want to take them lightly, they always seem to get up for our games)

Are we talking MRIs when we say scans? They have MRIs for no real reason? Are they nuts? Those things are bloody horrible.

Just offloaded a gorilla on Cox to snag the first at $17/1.

Also offloaded a gorilla on harry and meghan's baby boy's name being James at $8/1.

Wish me luck.

Cox goal? In which game? He may not even play this week. You will need all the luck in the world

If Cox isn't 100% and Moore is having scans.. i doubt we risk either because of Casboult (he was switched to defence in the last half because of Jones injury)

If he causes issues, Reid to defence and we play a smaller fwd line.

Or Maybe Goldsack comes in also.

Gee, that's a fair amount of unnecessary shuffling of the deck chairs based on some speculative news. Unless we hear differently, I'm not going to read too much into Moore having scans. Certainly not going to omit him as a consequence. Given his history I'm sure he'll have lots of scans across the season.

Yes, Casboult moved to defence to cover Jones but he won't necessarily stay there into this week. I'm not aware that Jones has even been ruled out as yet and they have Goddard among their best players at VFL level if they do require a replacement. Casboult's goal kicking radar was off against the Roos so due for "can't miss" game this week.

He should be. He committed the most horrible turnover I've ever seen last week. Back 35m into defensive 50 chopped off...

That's a reason to get him out of the defensive group, not drop him. He's still their best contested marking forward until Curnow and McKay develop.

I wouldn’t be resting Moore against Carlton , maybe St Kilda

Seems Maynard is a protected species around these parts ;) One call to Omit and look out!

Everyone has their least favorite player and I guess he's mine. It used to be Langdon but he has grown on me considerably this year.

Dont get me wrong, I think Maynard is a good player, but his turnovers are costly and generally results in goals against a few time a match. But that said, I only suggested resting him for a weak to give Quaynor an opportunity against a weak Carlton team.

That resembles my inbox a few yrs back when Bucks was winning 1 in 4 re.. these days I get my inbox flooded with 'why don't you comment on footy more.. you have an extensive advanced knowledge on the game' and shit like that. My response is.. 'can't spoon feed yas re.. you can't see what I see anyhow' and that re.

You're burning through a stack of gorillas these days re... so close but so far away...

Last week was ridiculous. Reid touched on the line for the first. And a 39.5+ gorilla bet was on the cards if it wasn't for 2 secs remaining. Actually cost me more than a coupla gorillas re.. $330 pair of ortiz and reed boots destroyed going through my aldi $500 plasma screen I reserve for live games at home.

I have to. Not launching my boot through a $12k state of the art tv.. made that mistake in the past.. not again.. so $500 aldi plasmas and a few left on standby is the go. Save a few Bob re.. or should I say 10s of 1000s.

I think you picked the wrong week to make your comment. I remember a game earlier in the year where he caused two direct turnovers for two goals. I probably would have been more sympathetic to your comments that week. Against Port he was excellent and no reason to omit him.

Assuming Sier is fit (which is a pretty big assumption) surely if he doesn't get a game now he won't for a while. Not sure who he rubbed the wrong way but clearly there is something else going on there.

I think Maynard pushed up the ground to add a bit of grunt last week we are missing with Sier. Don't know if that was just for the first Q but didn't really see it Q 2-4. Not sure where the hate is coming for him, he clearly can play that role.

Carlton is oddly a bit of a bogey side so I wouldn't be trialling 3 talls. Go with what got us to a GF. De Goey plays Medium/Tall too at 191cm (Mihocek is only 192), he doesn't need to be wasted in a crumbing role.

My two bob..
Rest Cox if he's even a little sore, then you don't have to pick between him, Mihocek and Reid...yet... If I had to pick, based on form this year it's Mihocek and Reid 1 & 2, Cox to play VFL. Once he starts clunking contested marks again he's back in.

Put Sidebottom in the middle to replace Tay, I think he has suffered a little this year being on a wing. Put him back in the middle where he can start dominating clearances again.
Then roll the dice with Wells on a wing, better off seeing how he goes now than later in the year when the stakes are higher.
If Quyanor's form on the track warrants selection he comes in for Greenwood. Although I would be reluctant to see Quyanor and Wells come in in the same week as they are unknown quantities at this stage.

IN: Wells (maybe Quyanor)
OUT: Tay (Greenwood if Q comes in)

But I think Cox still probably own number 1 spot but they will feel awful if they have to drop Reid and he's still fit and gathering momentum. Mihocek is lucky he hits the scoreboard a lot so his weight of goals probably saves him but Reid has him covered too for influence around the ground. People forgot how good Reid is.
Mihocek hasn't put a foot wrong. Converts, rarely goes to ground, tackles, a contested marking beast and IMO covers the ground better than Reid and Cox combined. There is no way Mihocek is dropped unless rested or injured. I would be giving Cox another week in the boot just to see if Reid can back it up and get through 2 games.

Aish for Adams. Good for the team sheet (doesn't need any re-ordering alphabetically).

Push Aish to the wing, Sidebottom back in the middle. Leave Cox out for another week to get himself ready for the Saints game.

Look I know Carlton want to come out fists swinging but even with all the will in the world, poor talent won't overcome our system. We apply the same pressure to them as we did Port and we start looking at 50+ point first half again.

Watch Pendles go to Cripps and work him over. Will be a masterclass.

It's been reported elsewhere that Sier has an Achille s problem, so he won't be available for selection unfortunately.

Aish has only played a half of football in just under 4 weeks come Saturday and Levi has filled that spot in the back half pretty well. Wouldn't hurt for him to come back through the VFL. I think they'll prefer to bring Varcoe straight back in and move Cal Brown up into the midfield rotation a bit more heavily.

It is ancient but it is still one of the best ways to view sport. Unlike LCD/LED plasma was designed from the start to display moving image and has a great representation of black. Initially LCD was terrible, these days it's pretty amazing what they have done to overcome the limitations of that technology.
