To me the big ins are Howe and Treloar.

They plan well enough we're just a better team.

Goldsack is intriguing. I'm persuaded by the simple premise (posters have used fairly) Goldsack is better than Madgen. Yes from me.

I do feel a bit for Murphy, but he needs some time. It's a fair call.

What we can also see I think quite clearly is the status of a few players this season.

Stamped as stable senior players, a credit to them.

Aish, Mayne, Sier (yes the bear is in there!) have all earned their ticket.

Very pleasing.

Four changes for each side since our round 17 matchup.

Pies In:
Aish, Cox, Goldsack and Treloar
Pies Out:
Crocker, Daicos, Moore and Scharenberg
WCE In:
Barrass, Ryan, Sheed and Vardy
WCE Out:
Gaff, Naitanui, Schofield and Waterman

You would definitely say Pies in front on that one

I use free sports streaming sites. The quality isn't exactly HD but it does the job.
If you like when I get home from work I can PM you some of the sites I use, I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to post them here.
Match is at 1,10pm my time.
In other words well and truly beer o'clock time.

I'll grab those as well if you don't mind. Not a factor for the remainder of this year but might be useful in 2019.

That assessment is pretty accurate, our second half of the season definitely left a bit to be desired. But at the same time, similar things could be said of the Pies - you don't exactly have a great record against the better (top 8) sides this year - in fact it may be the worst of the finalists.
You’re right too but our record against top 8 sides can be misconstrued due to circumstances. To play against the best you need to keep your side on the park and we haven’t had much luck in that area. Moore goes off injured against the Swans and Buddy gets hold of us in a game decided by less than a kick. Both games against Richmond we lost key players at significant times. From memory we lost Maynard, Aish and Reid against Richmond the first time and Shaz and Howe the second time. Both games were close to a goal at 3/4 time. Hopefully both sides have their full squads on the ground for the entire game so we can judge properly.

I reckon our hand was forced with Goldsack because the VFL team was eliminated last week. No further chances for Goldsack to gain match fitness so throw him in the deep end.

As others have pointed out, he is a better option than Magden and way more flexible.

Looks like the boys' flight has been delayed. Surely someone can do something for us! Somebody!

I'm amazed in this day and age for finals or interstate games altogether clubs don't have private chartered jets especially to Perth.

On conceding marks, that's not always true. Cox conceded plenty against Michael Johnson on the weekend. Freo then used Hamling on our full forward which was either De Goey or Stephenson. Hamling intercepted with ease. Freo found a way to kill us in the air that way. It's an area to exploit us because a team that can do that and then match it with competent ball movement will convert that on the scoreboard. We may need to look at ways to counter that in the finals because i'm sure other teams took note.
Yes rwatching some more game time I soon realized he does concede quite a rew marks. More accurate to say that due to his height and what has become at least moderate contested marking skill (whch hopefully will improve a lot along with the rest of his game), he does bring it to ground on more occasions than most even against the master interceptors like Rance, which gives us more crumbing scoring opp's and has become important to our structure. Which seemed to be painfully evident agaisnt WC a few weeks ago which gives hope for tomorrow.

Private jet for 39 people roughly 45k for the 4 hours.

Not much considering clubs have equalisation and can only spend certain money on coaches players etc

Taller, v experienced leader along with Howe, and clearly would have proved himself in defensive system training in recent weeks. I think our defense will be better than last WC game prov no-one goes down druing the game but that's a risk. but Cox being back is the much bigger difference, we looked liek cwohco in that game, literally.

I thought only a few were going yesterday and the bulk are flying today?

Dig a bit deeper Joe, twice we were pushing Richmond early on and had a couple of in game injuries to important players. Look at the injuries we've had to our backline in the last half - it has been absolutely decimated.

Treloar and Howe back make a huge difference - add to that Cox being back gives us the structure we lacked against your lot last time, plus you are without Gaff.

This time around you will see a vastly different Collingwood.

Fair to say some handy ins! Will be interesting to see Treloar's role as Adams has been huge in his absence, hopefully doesn't impact on Adams' output tomorrow night.

The dropped boys all stiff. For Murphy, glad he got a little taste of it this year

Cox - Moore difficult to compare as it’s a structural change shifting a tall from one end to the other. Hopefully it keeps McGovern honest.

I think the omissions were alluded to and possibly decided before our VFL final. Madgen and Oxley played that final and reports suggested Murphy only didn’t due to a niggle.

Gotta rate the aggots on the selection committee for this game. Saving the most brazen for last. Brilliant.

My favourite final of all time was the previous Pies v Weagles away final. Greatest. Game. Ever!

GO PIES!!
Was an epic game and I may have shed tears of joy, but this does not leave the forum!!
