Would be a nice week for Trac to kick 4 or 5 for something different.

I agree, but also think dropping him after a great debut for a back pocket would also damage his confidence. No easy answer here. I'd probably keep him in and play him on whichever of McCarthy/McCluggage is up forward.Yeah we're not in a development phase, no need to kill the young kids confidence for no reason.
It was his first AFL game for about 9 months. There will definitely be some rust. Hopefully its just that though.I think McDonald back in the team really helps structure wise but we do need to see him hit the scoreboard, a measly point after the siren isn't good enough (he should be kicking it anyway). I'm optimistic about the team just need a few more games to see how well our forward line is functioning.
That's a fair point but even pre injury I feel he wasn't impacting the scoreboard enough, maybe I'm being harsh but he was averaging less than 2 goals a game last year.It was his first AFL game for about 9 months. There will definitely be some rust. Hopefully its just that though.

May, Viney, Fritsch and Salem all available.
In: May, Viney, Fritsch
Out: Tomlinson (bad luck), Sparrow, Pickett
Salem back through the VFL
Why would you bring Fritsch straight in but not Viney, when Fritsch has been out longer?Real rest to see if the clubs all talk or not. If all 4 come back and we lose Laurie, Mcevee Pickett and Tomo I'll know nothing's changed
For mine bring in May and Fritsch, play Viney and Salem in the 2s
Viney had a full pre-season, playing a few weeks back in the Saints scratch match. Doubt he needs to find match fitness at CaseyReal rest to see if the clubs all talk or not. If all 4 come back and we lose Laurie, Mcevee Pickett and Tomo I'll know nothing's changed

Liked the balance of our midfield better without Viney and he's generally rusty first up. Fritsch we need because he's that good. Why would you bring Fritsch straight in but not Viney, when Fritsch has been out longer?
It's actually ridiculous how many times this nothing story has been pushed.RoboGoody3000 getting pissed off in an interview. Maybe he's changed after all
Don't mind it. Give him another week to keep his spot, same basket as Harmes.Give the midfield minutes to Sparrow, if he stinks it up again drop him for Viney in round 3. Nows the time to have a look

Fritsch is needed. Viney isn't.

Fair enough. I'm not on the same page as you blokes, but get where you're coming from.
I reckon with Kozzy out Viney will be a handy in for our centre bounce rotations, and with Trac and Clarry being 'spread out' more this year I think things will be a little different this year to last. Besides, don't reckon there's any doubt Goody will bring him straight in, Salo seems the only one who potentially might play VFL.
He did, but I reckon he was a little indeterminate about whether Salem would come straight back in, and I'm hopeful after round 1 selection that Goody may have decided to listen more to the fitness staff this year.I very much hope Salem comes back thru the two's, but Goody did a good amount of talking his fitness up and wants him to play I reckon. Would need the fitness staff to give him a definite no for him not to play I reckon.
I don't think what I'm saying will happen but vineys one dimensional and not a difference maker against Brisbane and Id rather see if Sparrow and co are sooner rather than laterFair enough. I'm not on the same page as you blokes, but get where you're coming from.

Harmes has done a pretty good job on Neale in the past hasn't he?I dont think there is a snowballs chance in hell Sparrow is dropped either, Goody loves him, better chance of it being Harmes.
