Monday Selection night! I can't remember the last time that happened.

I am hoping that they don't reverse the selection philosophy from last week, however would be fine with Brodie Smith back in.

I think anyone that had (managed) next to their name is an auto inclusion.

Whilst I agree with all of what you've said, i'd still like to see Fog go into the midfield for a center clearance or 2. Just to add a big body into the mix from time to time.

Watching our contested stuff in the middle is straight up depressing right now.

I agree. Fog does not need to be fast just get his hands on the ball and use his strength and aggression. He is a good disposal under pressure. Gets him in the game too when ball not getting forward.

I agree. Fog does not need to be fast just get his hands on the ball and use his strength and aggression. He is a good disposal under pressure. Gets him in the game too when ball not getting forward.

Plus he hasn't had the disadvantage of learning Goddens horrible midfield structures. So he will likely look like our most damaging clearance midfielder by default

I don't see Collingwood resting unnecessarily. They need this win to separate themselves from the throng of teams that are behind them. WB, Melb, Ess, GC.

They wont be resting players, they will barely have enough to field a team through injury.

We tend to have a lot of highly respected staff that never do anything further in the industry though. His wiki says he's currently at Gold Coast and is going to SACA in 2015. That seems very much a bloke on the way down.

Mutineer, you disliked this. I'm interested as going from AFL to state level cricket seems an obvious downward move to my mind. You might have more info as Wikipedia basically shut up shop on him 5 years ago. His 3xoerience that I'm aware of is a few years with us under Craig, then a couple of years at Gold Coast and then out of the AFL altogether. I'm in the dark as to what else he's been doing, I presume there's more.

I want to see Fog given a shot in the middle, but right now he's barely fit enough to play as a statuesque tall forward. Playing him in the midfield, even for 1 or 2 bounces (where he's not the designated ruckman), is just not a viable option.

Harto for Talia I'm not against for the experience side of it but Butts/Worrel against Collingwood who don't have the big key forward such as Hawkins/Dixon/Kennedy would make sense I think.
