quick.. someone call this bloke a waaammbulance..

maybe Victorian’s should learn to wash their hands more regularly... filthy little grubs.
I'm not Victorian, but don't let that get in the way of admitting you were wrong. Instead of actually discussing the merits of the post you had to go to your condescending self-entitlement completely oblivious that a lot of the poster on your board are from Victoria.

Never change.

Same I have paid 2 in full.

The AFL have no idea how to reward members who have stuck by them.

Won't get another cent from me.
You're the away team.

But for your home games, it's your club that makes this decision, not the AFL.
Port's tickets are sold through the priority system based on membership type and if you've committed 100% of your dues.
Most of their 10,000 (minus op. seats) are sold in priority 1 fwiw.

Got a shock when I got the email telling me I could shell out $30 to see the Hawks' game. They can shove the game up their arse.
Reckon they might get around 1000 local hawks diehards and maybe some general public Crows non-pledgers desperate to see a game this year. I hope it's the smallest crowd in AFL history.

I don't rate him highly but given where we are I'd give Paholke a few more games. He hasn't really had a solid block of matches.

If it is true that Atkins has agreed to terms with Gold Coast then there is no way I would be playing him. Likewise no point playing Brad Crouch when fit.
Yeah we don't want Atkins getting injured and hurting our compo for him. Pick up your stuff and seeya.

Yep. I actually think the same would apply for nearly everyone who has pledged 100% or even 75 or 50, in good faith.
For the first two games in QLD, we got the tickets for free. Every other game, $30 each but it was only offered to paid members.

Couldn't agree more. Am actually livid that after pledging 100% for 2 memberships, over $600, they've got the gall to charge for this game.
AFC can stick it up their arse next time.
It's nothing to do with the AFC, is it?

What?

It's a Hawthorn home game that is at Adelaide Oval. You get an additional game in your home state. Isn't that good news? Why would you expect to get that for free? Do you expect to get the Port showdowns for free?

Yep, and we chose to pay for some and not others, depending on whether we wanted to see the game. If was our choice and I thought we were lucky to get extra games in our state, all things being considered.

Absolutely! I was Initially annoyed that the club didn’t buy extra tickets for other fans to come (we have lots of non members up here), but understand they would try to save costs at every opportunity, also that they wanted to reward those that stuck by them.

No, but I normally get access to 11 games... which is my point.
But this is not a normal year. You knew that when you chose to stand by the club financially. To now bitch and moan that you’ve been offered an opportunity to see an extra game at additional expense is a bit much given you weren’t assured of ANY games. And this is an away game that just happens to be played in Adelaide. If it were up here, you wouldn’t expect free tickets, would you?

Yes it would be too much to ask for the club to reward its members by giving them access to the only away game at our home ground. But then again they aren’t that flush with cash given they’ve had to pay out contracts due to their incompetence.

The gate goes to the home team, in this case Hawthorn. AFC is really just offering members the first option on ticket purchases. AFC would have little say in access, it would be done under AFL direction

Yes, I know too well not a normal year working in the health sector. I also chose to fully support the club at 100%, not knowing if I would see any ganes

The point is the AFL have an opportunity of giving back to members who support the club or having an away game with a very small crowd. The SMA also lose out on beverages & food consumed by extra supporters attending.

It should be a no brainer to let Crows members use up any leftover tickets.

I'm no going to pay another $30 x 2 when I have already paid in full to my club & won't see by usual 11 games.

If you don't understand why then so be it...

Personally I'd rather see that money elsewhere
Couple of points, it wouldn’t be $300k as we wouldn’t have access to all 10,000 tickets, the Hawks supporters would use up an allocation.

There are a lot of disgruntled members, what’s the cost of say 500 not renewing? Say average cost of membership $400? That’s $200k and we are basically there and that’s only 1 year of their membership.

This small gesture that the club actually cares about it members might have been enough to keep them.

I simply don't agree with you. And that's ok. I think a lot of people underestimate how much financial pressure is on all the clubs and the league.
