if there is just one win for the year, could we save it for our final round (Grand Final) match and potentially deny Carlton finals? :$

The lols and relief of the win could carry us till next year comfortably. :drunk:

Delightful... so let's go for 2 wins then as we still wont be in danger of losing pick #1.

We need a win so some of our pkayers kniw what it is like to win & sing the club song... & give us something to look forward to next year as the pressure would be huge being winless.

If we win a game, and we want it to be the best for us, that win should come against GWS.

Beating a team desperate for the 8 and Finals like Carlton will carry more value IMO than beating a team that plays as individuals and has at times just thrown games away, like they did against a bottom side like Sydney.

In: Brouch, Talia, Hamill
Out: Crocker, Kelly, Walker (managed ...)

Then keep this line up stable for the rest of the year, letting the kids find some consistency. We aren't going to develop them if they have 6 new team mates each week.

Bring back McPherson for Brown the next week.

If the Crows play Brouch with the knowledge that another Club has offered Brouch a big contract, that would have to amount to one of the dumbest selection decisions ever.

And thats saying something given the Thursday night debacles we have had on Bigfooty for the past few years.

We are stupid enough to do it. Maybe the offers are not that good and we are rolling the dice on the hope Brad won't break down and will star. If the offer is locked in surely he won't be played.

Agree with most, but still think Jones has something
I agree

Jones just needs to get physically stronger

Jones has an aggressive natural game and he is trying to play his natural game in a kids body against men

Im still postive about Jones

Our 9 day break compared to Hawthorn's 4 day break should be a significant factor

I would like ro see Brad, Hamill and Ned return ti give us some run and more leg speed around the ground

If qe can take the game on and limit our turn overs then qe should bank our first win

Looking at GWS and their remaining draw...

us and freo this weekend are the only really “safe” games for them.. the rest you’d almost pencil in as defeats..

and they could easily falter against freo.. and we could get over the top of them if we bring our “geelong game” form for four quarters on the day and they bring their flakey game..

Out:

Poholke
Kelly
Walker
Crocker
Mackay

In:

Worrell
O'Connor
Hamill
McPherson
Talia

Brown Talia McPherson
Smith Butts Sholl
Schoenberg Laird Hamill
Sloane Fogarty Worrell
McAdam Himmelberg Stengle

ROB Keays MCrouch

Hartigan O'Connor Murphy Jones

"For four quarters". There's the reason why it's not going to happen. They're just not fit enough to play for 4 quarters.

We'd be a good chance, if we only had to play 2x 16 minute halves. We'd be a slim chance if we only had to play 3x 16 minute periods. We have no chance in a game with 4x 16 minute quarters.

Yup. That and work shit out on the outside.

I'm forgiving with that part, learning how to impact on the outside at this level in a side which does not have any plan for ball movement would be an arduous task.

Hes still struggling.. but there’s some very good glimpses of his potential.. he just needs to build some confidence.. it will come.. even Dangerfield took a couple of years to start to shine.

there was a handball in heavy traffic on the weekend from Jones that I remember thinging “geez that was classy”.. its these little signs that have me thinkin it might take 3 or 4 years (that including the two he’s already done) but he’ll emerge..

some kids just take longer..

mchenry is the one that worries me.. not even seeing anything.. not even little glimpses.. but who knows, the start to his career has been interupted by injury.. not giving up on him yet.

Jones needs to work on using his run to get out of contested situations than giving the quick in close handball. Would like to see more kicks than 2 metre handballs to mcrouch. If your going to handball it to a player on the run needs to be one of our quicker players such as Hamill that can break lines. Will add more damage to his game.

I'm hoping Jones ends up benefitting of any overhaul to our fitness and coaching. There is a high end player there though.

Nah, Neds shown a bit. He seems to have a reliable side step and should be pretty dominant on the defensive side of things once he's physically developed. That's said, Ned is even further away from being physically developed then Chayce. Dude needs 10+ kg on his frame which should clean up a lot. Definitely the recipient of the Jordan Gallucci memorial for a kid drafted as a midfielder being forced to adapt to a graveyard that is our half forward line.

They won't make too many changes to the side I wouldn't think after what was probably our best performance for the year. Crocker should come out and Kelly in my view...Hamill and Talia back in. We've been making 4 or more changes every week, and that's led to the lack of cohesion within the group. If McAdam's injured then BCrouch in. Not convinced on Polholke, but he probably deserves another shot.
