Beating a team desperate for the 8 and Finals like Carlton will carry more value IMO than beating a team that plays as individuals and has at times just thrown games away, like they did against a bottom side like Sydney.
The only thing I really want to get out of this season is a good draft hand. On-field success will start happening next year.
We beat GWS, they probably miss Finals and we get a top 10 pick. Beating Carlton could very well be the difference between GWS making and missing Finals.
Never know what could happen if they make Finals. They're talented enough that if they start caring, they could make another Prelim.

I don't really care about our draft hand TBH. Clearing the cancers and rebuilding the club off field is going to play the biggest part in us being able to compete again one day.

A new Chairman, CEO and Football Director is a must. You can't have leaders who either go hiding during the season or who publicly embarrass the club every second week.

Then we need to get the coaching, list management and fitness departments sorted. Hopefully Kelly gets free reign and an open chequebook to make these things happen.

Because the decision is now out of his hands

The club values pick 2 higher than Brad

Do they, espeacly in this year draft. Is there a big bodied midfielder that will give the Crows good service for the next 5 years in this draft.
Is there a top rank big Midfielder in the top ten,
Lot of Good talls and small mids at the pionty end.

Big Question who would we Take to replace him.

We got the new Football Directer this year in Adam Kelly, So it only a Chairman which is happening end of the year Hopefully thats Grant Kelley,
Leaving only the CEO which to be honest will not happen until at least end of 2021, my tip is 2022
And before the knifes come out Its a CEO prediction not what I want to happen.

Port's NGA Lachlan Jones is a midfielder in waiting and he'd be in my top 10 currently....He's performing as well in the SANFL League as McDonald is in the WAFL League in the roles they are playing currently.

Brcouch isn't a big bodied mid, he's a not slow but not fast midfield extractor, which we have plenty of (maybe not the "not slow" part). At the top of the draft we have an arrogant dynamic midfielder/ fwd (Hollands), a small and fast midfield ball magnet (Phillips), an athletic midfielder/ def (O'Driscoll), a mid-sized midfield extractor (Trew), plus a whole bunch around our GWS pick including a big bodied mid (SA boy Poulter).

If we get pick 2 (or even a pick 11) for Brouch, I'd take it to build up midfield strength that we don't have.

Funny everyone talks about how we are lacking a midfield, when what we are lacking is Midfield depth, we on average 3 players in the team capable of getting 25 plus touches in the midfield, and a few on hear want us to move them on and get in player we don't now,
Also Brad is our biggest Mid that capable of getting his hands on the ball regulary,
Remove all the NGA and Father sons is the number 2 draft pick worth Brad Crouch this year. If so take it, but let not be sayed but a number 2 compesation unless there is value to be had, that will serve the club for 5 years.

The Days of Crows supporters getting free rail to games and other subsidisations, are over for the foreseeable future

We get free rail, tram and bus in 2020. My understanding is that the government who, bless their little neo-con cotton socks are about to privatise public transport, will insist this remains in place when all is in private hands. Maybe the government will subsidise the private operators. Remains to be seen.

That's not going to be confusing at all. Kelly and Kelley.

I think jackster83 was referring to Mark Ricciuto, who is the Board Member responsible for the Football Department. You are quite correct, however, that Kelly has replaced Burton as our Football Manager.

Not a lot of money to spread around after this

Any chance the hawks may look at the current ladder and start thinking “we tank these last few games hard and we could very easily end up with pick 2” (before any possible compo picks..

they have some half decent losses and they could easily slip below Sydney on percentage and if NM win one more game, they could also drop below them on percentage too...

dont know if Clarko’s the tanking type... but you can be guaranteed he’d never be accussed of it and if he ever was... a quick coffee date with Gill would shut all accusations down pretty quickly..

a week ago they would probably struggle covering up a defeat to the crows but that all changed with the geelong game... Hawks could easily pull the “they brought the same heat they did in their geelong game and destroyed us” out...

You are so right. I can sense that supporters are beginning to attune to the immediate reward of on field results. Not me. I also see and want the cancer entrenched in our off field management to be cleared. It must happen. Otherwise we are patched up and return to a stumbling middle of the road existence. Cosy mediocrity.

Based on the injury report

Out: Kelly, Poholke, Crocker, Walker
In: Hamill, McPherson, McHenry, Talia

Brad Crouch can have another week off

B McPherson - Talia - Butts
HB Hamill - Hartigan - Smith
C Sholl - Schoenberg - Jones
HF Sloane - Fogarty - McHenry
F Stengle - Himmelberg - McAdam
R O'Brien - M. Crouch - Laird

I Keays - Brown - Mackay - Murphy
Seems pretty certain Brad will play, comes in ahead of McHenry I reckon

I'll be very keen to see what Nicks does with Sloane and the Crouch bros all in the same team again.

Perfect opportunity to keep a mix of experience and youth in there now. Do not want to see the three of them together in there, and preferably never Matt and Brad together.

Could be intresting with Both Crouch brothers and Laird getting there hands on the ball, Sloane become the 4 string mid maybe the 5th behind Keays, this may free him up a bit, and also allow some of the other kids to play more freely, ie Schoenberg and Jones may even get a spike from Sholl
In most of the games this year the Crows have only a couple of mids getting there hands on the ball,
And yes I know some mention that the stats dont are not that important , but when the stats are showing that every other team we have played has been getting over 4/5 players from there midfield getting decent touches while the best we are doing is 2-3 And is the stats telling me we need more mids getting there hands on ball, because when we have it there mids don't.

Crocker and Kelly aren't AFL standard

I've seen a bit of Poholke and I just don't think he's good enough for AFL level
Poholke has some spunk so I’d give home more reign. You don’t just tamp it out, it is demoralising.
