Oh... dont worry now, at any moment its all going to click and the 2017 form is gonna come flooding back and we’ll be in contention for the premiership again with the likes of mookay, sloane, tex, kelly, talia, crouch’s etc still there!..

you may laugh but I now honestly believe that this is what half the morons running the club actually believe.. that we have just had a run of poor luck since 2017 and it will all turn around very soon..

It all reminds me of that Simpsons episode where lisa makes the BBQ pig go flying and Homer and Bart chase after it going “its ok, its just a little bit airborne, its ok, its just a little bit wet etc etc”..

The delusion runs deep at the club.

You're generous with only half the morons believe it, all our morons do!!

I can stomach a rebuild but Nicks can't do that properly, Crouch x 2 and Sloane have been our main mids when fit.

If we were giving our young guys a crack - in important positions not hff, then no dramas losing every week but when we keep doing the same thing week after week (year after year shame Nicks didnt watch us play last year) with our horrid midfield mix/structure.

Our selections have generally been worse for games we see as winnable. This then usually translates to a complacent and lazy effort in the match itself.

Surely there's no point rushing Talia back. Hawthorn don't have a standout key forward, and Talia coming back makes us slow down back.

Not keen about going back to Crouch x2 and a completely cooked Sloane in the middle either.

I'm more interested in getting more games into McPherson, Hamill and McHenry, as well as giving Worrell a couple of games before the year ends.

Oh there is a reason to rush Talia back. It means no Jake Kelly in our lineup.

Edit: of course I say that, then proceed to read further into this thread to see that Butts is injured and Kelly is likely to get a reprieve. He's truly the new Mackay in that he is one lucky mother****er.

Not at the coalface he hasn't, clearances is where the game will be won or lost.

That's a really nice way to say "prepare for the 14th loss in a row".

Allways puzzle me, The Crows this year have been smashed in the middle because we don't get our hands on the ball, Every team we play has more midfield players getting 20 plus disposals, Our best Midfielder this year in getting the ball first, is M Crouch, Liard, Keays and B Crouch,
Yet poeple complian when we have all 4 of them playing in the same midfield,
If we are going to win we need a midfield that actally gets the football, no piont bragging about a player who does well with the ball but rarely touches the cod.
Football has not changed much in that way you win the ball.
By the way these same midfielders have been running close to 70% effinency and there assisted metre's gained stats are OK.
For info assisted metres gained is how many metres the player you directly get the ball to gains with their resultant possession.

The problem is our best ball winners have spent most of the season not winning it where they need to.

Thing is, Mrouch always gets plenty of possessions, they just have absolutely no influence on the game.

Nick's presser seemed a bit uninspiring. Sounds like the old midfield band back of Sloane and the Crouch brothers. Butts injured. Kelly stays in. No Worrell. No plan to transition Walker out until the end of the year at the earliest. Bring on trade and draft.

Na he stuffs a few up but generally he move the ball on, 25 disposals at 70%, 225 metre gained, and double that in assisted metre gained. with Brad 62% and Liard 74% the only other players over 20 disposals, (re Midfield) Which is better than Keays 15 touches at 72%, then there is daylight to the next

Crows badly need to win some football,
The opposition has 5-6 mids getting more than 20 touches while we have 3. and one of them been missing a for a few weeks,
We need more Mids getting there hands on the Football, we need to win the football,
As I mentioned before no piont in being great with your ball movement if you don't get the ball a couple times a quater. whcih is what happening to us,
